There’s something special about the first day back at school.

This week, Jesse had the opportunity to witness that excitement at Solomon Lutheran School in Woodville, Ohio, during a ribbon cutting celebrating improvements made possible through the Lee Koenig Legacy Fund.

Yes, there were new floors, smart TV's', chairs, cabinets and even a new flag and flag pole. But what stood out most wasn’t the new stuff - it was the joy and pride on the students’ faces and the families and community coming together to invest in them.

Thank you to the Lee Koenig Legacy Fund for making this investment in Solomon Lutheran School and its students.

Sometimes the impact of philanthropy is easy to see - a new floor, a new desk, a brighter, more welcoming classroom.

But the real impact is what those improvements create: a place where students feel excited to learn, proud of their school, and ready to begin a new year.

That’s the kind of impact worth celebrating

🎉 Fundiversary: 13 Years of Making an Impact!

In 2013, SCCF was proud to support the Sandusky County Park District Nature Center with funding to help construct, furnish, and provide ongoing support for this incredible community resource.

Thirteen years later, we’re celebrating the lasting impact of investments that connect people with nature, education, and our community. 🌿💚

Here’s to many more years of the Sandusky County Park District Nature Center inspiring and serving Sandusky County!

We had the opportunity to visit the Friends of the Chippewa School in Clyde, and see the restoration progress of this historic one-room schoolhouse, built in 1893!

What an incredible project, and it’s inspiring to see so many community supporters, including SCCF, dedicated to preserving this special piece of local history for generations to come.

Last night, Jesse and Missy had the opportunity to tour the incredible restoration progress at the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums, a project made possible in part through support from SCCF, the Lee N. Koenig Legacy Fund, and many other generous partners.

Getting a first look at all that's been accomplished was truly exciting, and we can't wait to see the finished project! It was a wonderful evening celebrating the power of community partnerships and the impact we can make together.
