Thanks to an incredible turnout of 86 community volunteers we were able to plant 30 new trees at Mirabeau Park! These trees will not only help fight climate change and beautify the grounds, but they will also provide shade for visitors for years to come. We hope you will return to the park to watch these trees thrive.

Our public Community of Practice for Schoolyard Forests is back! Join us for the next session on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 11am PT/2pm ET, highlighting the work being done at Fremont Unified School District in Northern California.

We’ll hear from guest speakers about the partnership between Fremont USD, the City of Fremont, CA Government, and a local non-profit, Urban Forest Friends. This collaboration has led to the planting of 700 trees across ten schoolyards and the emergence of district-wide design and planning principles—helping to establish a foundation for greening all of the district's 40+ campuses.

A huge thank you to the 95 community volunteers who joined our first planting of the season! Together, we added 21 Coast Redwood and Chinese Pistache trees to Flight 93 Memorial Park to fight climate change and beautify our community.

Many thanks to:
- County Supervisor Elisa Marquez and City Councilmember Jeff Wang for supporting trees
- Union City Parks Jesus Banuelos, Nigel Lewis, and Alex Quintero for making this tree planting possible and taking care of all the trees
- F.U.N. Rotary for breakfast for everyone
- SIKHS for Humanity for the delicious pizza lunch for everyone
- JLHS Key Club and Interact Club for helping get the word out

Thank you for planting trees at Durham Elementary on Saturday!

We had 72 volunteers come together to plant 26 trees, creating a legacy of shade for the Durham community. Many thanks to Chris Curry and the Fremont Recreation Services parks staff for making this event possible, and Fremont Mayor Raj Salwan for the wonderful surprise visit and for joining to help plant.

1,000 TREES! 🌳 WE DID IT! 🌎

80+ volunteers, community leaders, and special guests came together to plant 26 new trees this Saturday! Thank you to everyone who made this milestone possible.

Special thanks to Dan Cianciarulo and the Newark Recreation & Community Services - Newark, CA staff. Also thank you City of Newark, CA Government Mayor Hannon, Vice Mayor Jorgens, and Assemblymember Alex Lee for attending, giving the speeches, and staying to plant afterwards!
