Boy Scouts of America - Troop 1103 Fremont, NE Troop 1103 has fifteen scouts and nine adults. The troop meets every Monday night at Fremont First United Methodist church.

Troop 1103 has nine scouts and six adults. The troop meets every Monday night at Fremont First United Methodist Church. We go camping almost every month (including December). On the December campout we are allowed to bring video games like DS, PS2, PS3, XBOX 360, etc. During the summer we go and to Camp Cedars with a lot of the other troops from the area. This year some Japanese sco

uts came all the way to Nebraska just to camp at Camp Cedars (which is one of the top ten camps in America). Troop History

Troop 1103 started as Troop 103 , and was restarted and renamed in 2006. The legacy of this troop has been affiliated with the First United Methodist Church in Fremont, Nebraska for over 50 years. Based firmly on the principles of Robert Baden-Powell, Troop 1103 stresses “the patrol methods and boy led strategies” of the founder. This encourages young men to learn techniques and skills involved in leadership and character development at their own pace and in a group appropriate to their level. Troop activities are designed by the patrols and their adviser to meet the interests and needs of the members while having a lot of fun in the process. Advancement in rank and successful skills testing are at an individualized pace the the common goal of all members having the opportunity to become Eagle Scouts. The Troop provides opportunities for our members to earn funds for summer camp and special activities through the annual popcorn sales and Troop Fundraisers.

As a reminder, the Patrol Leader Council for Troop 1103 voted to not have a meeting on October 31, 2016. The next meeting will be November 7, 2016.
