🎄 Community Christmas is gearing up for another holiday season of helping local families!

Please share this post to help spread the word about the updated application dates and opportunities to become a donor or volunteer. ❤️

School is back in session throughout the county. Which also means our lead elves are starting to dust off the cobwebs in Santa's workshop. We know that this year will come with challenges as we adapt a new deadline for applications. Could you help us by sharing the updated dates?

Applications will be open starting Thurs. Oct. 15th at 9am and close on Mon. Nov. 16th at 9am. This adjustment in dates will allow our volunteers a little more time to work the North Pole magic and create opportunity for more donors to support this important community project.

If you are interested in becoming a donor or volunteer, you are welcome to send us an email now and we will get you added to our list. The elves aren't back as regular volunteers just yet so please be patient with our replies!

In 1995, Dolly Parton started mailing books to children in her home county to inspire children to love reading in honor of her dad, who couldn’t read or write.

That idea lives here too. Every month, 1,979 children in Sandusky County find a book in the mailbox. A gift made possible by the generous donors to United Way of Sandusky County, whose support is helping inspire young minds and build brighter futures, one book at a time.

Thank you, Dolly. We will always love you.

RARE Saturday volunteer opportunity has become available for this Saturday, August 29 8:30AM-2:30PM. Siding installation is often referred to as a favorite day on the build site for volunteers.

Installation requires minimal skill level and creates an immediate impact on turning a construction site into a home. Sign-up at the link in the comments so we can ensure we have enough work stations organized to keep everyone engaged.

Join us to learn why it's a volunteer favorite!

Another Men Against Cancer is in the books - and what a night it was! đź’™

Last Thursday, nearly 140 men came together for an unforgettable evening of fellowship, fun, and, most importantly, supporting local families affected by cancer.

While we’re still finalizing the numbers, we already know this year’s event will raise more than $40,000 for the United Way Cancer Care Fund — helping Sandusky County residents who are currently undergoing cancer treatment.

We couldn’t make this impact without the incredible generosity of our sponsors, participants, volunteers, and everyone who helped make the evening such a success. Together, we’re making sure local cancer patients don’t have to face their journey alone.
