Al-Anon NCWSA District 17 Al-Anon District 17 of Northern California - Fremont, Union City and Newark (FUN). There are no dues for membership.

The Al-Anon program is based on the suggested Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, and in place to offer help, support and hope to friends and family of alcoholics. Whether you live in Fremont, Union City, Newark or are just visiting, we welcome you! If you live, or have lived, with the problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend, you have a home in the Al-Anon Family Groups. The Al-Anon Family

Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope, in order to solve their common problems. We believe alcoholism is a family illness, and that changed attitudes can aid recovery. Al-Anon is not allied with any sect, denomination, political entity, organization, or institution; does not engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any cause. Al-Anon is self-supporting through its own voluntary contributions. Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families of alcoholics. We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic.

You can find help and hope in Al-Anon. Our children are also affected and there is a program that helps called Alateen. Both are 12 Step Programs for friends and families of alcoholics. Please see bio for more details.
