We're excited to see the first section of the Fremont & Elkhorn Valley Railroad Trail officially open!

The Fremont Area Community Foundation was pleased to provide grant funding to help make this vision a reality. When completed, the trail will connect communities, create new opportunities for outdoor recreation, and preserve a piece of local history for generations to come.

Congratulations to Elkhorn Valley Trails, Inc., the City of Hooper, and the many partners, donors, and volunteers who helped bring this project to life.

The first of four sections of a bike path that will eventually run from Hooper to Fremont is officially open following a celebratory ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday.

Congratulations to the outstanding area seniors receiving Fremont Area Community Foundation scholarships this year!

Through the support of generous donors, these scholarships help students across our area pursue four-year degrees, community college programs, and skilled trades while easing some of the financial challenges that come with higher education.

We’re excited to celebrate a milestone year by awarding our 10th Anniversary Endowment Prize—a $10,000 gift providing lasting support to one outstanding nonprofit in our community. The recipient was selected at random from qualifying organizations, and we’re thrilled to announce that Rebuilding Together Platte Valley East is the winner!

Rebuilding Together Platte Valley East will be establishing an endowment at the FACF, and this gift will be added to that fund—growing their permanent support. An endowment is designed to be invested over time, with a portion of the earnings used each year—creating a reliable, ongoing source of funding that supports their mission for years to come.

As an added bonus, they will also receive a one-year subscription to the Emboldini Planned Giving Package, to assist with their marketing efforts.

Because of your generosity, this year’s giving day raised a preliminary total of $486,726 to support local nonprofits and the causes that make the Fremont area stronger.
