This blessed Friday, we are reflecting on our journey and the incredible community that supports us.

Here is a special moment from last year’s event featuring our co-founder alongside Dr. Shaza Khan, Executive Director of the Islamic Schools League of America (ISLA), a wonderful national nonprofit dedicated to strengthening and supporting full-time Islamic schools across the United States. We are deeply grateful for leaders and organizations that champion the future of Muslim youth.

May Allah bless all those who dedicate themselves to education and grant our students beneficial knowledge that strengthens their faith and inspires them to serve humanity.

Our seniors join Ustadh Siddique for a theology class centered on an important reminder: we are not here to judge people’s hearts or intentions.

We may observe someone’s actions, but we can never fully know their intentions, struggles, or what lies within their hearts. That knowledge belongs to Allah alone.

As we continue to grow in faith and character, may we approach others with humility, remain mindful in our judgments, and lead with compassion. We may see what is outward, but Allah knows what is within.

Speaking with Grace: Lessons from a School-Wide Reflection

This week, students and teachers joined together for a school-wide activity led by our Arabic instructor. We reflected deeply on the labels we place on others, and a powerful truth stood out: a single negative word can completely overshadow a multitude of positive ones.

It was a beautiful yet sobering reminder that we never truly know what heavy burdens someone is carrying. Our words hold the power to either build people up or leave a lasting, painful mark.

As we reflect this Jumu’ah, let’s commit choosing our words with care, and treating others with utmost dignity and compassion. May Allah make us people whose words bring comfort, encouragement, and goodness to those around us.

Surah Al-Mulk reminds us that the measure of a life is not simply what we know, but what we do with what we have been given.

This week, we celebrate two students who completed the memorization of Surah Al-Mulk and received their certificates of completion. Their accomplishment represents more than memorization. It reflects discipline, consistency, and a growing relationship with the words of Allah, words meant not only to be preserved in the heart, but reflected in our actions.

We believe education should shape more than what a student knows; it should shape who a student becomes. May the Qur’an remain at the center of that journey, guiding our students in what they learn, how they lead, and the character they carry into the world.

The Mystery Tote: Inference in Action

A handwritten note. A card. A hair tie. A bottle of perfume. A single hand wipe.

ELA 9 students turned this bag of ordinary objects into a blueprint for an original story by crafting a narrative where every single item mattered while leaving just enough unsaid for their audience to connect the dots.

Students weren’t just identifying clues in someone else’s writing; they were the ones choosing the clues, hiding the meaning, and watching their classmates piece the puzzle together. Because strong readers don’t just ask, “What happened?” They ask, “Why did the author include that?” Sometimes, the smallest detail can change the entire story!
