Hello Wildcat Families,

We will have our first meeting of the year this evening, August 18, at 6:00 PM on Zoom.

At this meeting, we will:
📕 Introduce our board members for this year
📗 Review our tentative calendar of events
📘 Review the proposed budget

‼️Most importantly, we still need to find a Secretary for this year. ‼️ It is critical that we fill this role. If you think you would be a good fit, please attend the meeting and consider nominating yourself.

📚 A MESSAGE FROM OUR LIBRARIAN:

Hello Cabrillo Families!

I know school just started, but we will be having our Fall Book Fair the week of August 24, 2026!

It will be open during School Hours on Monday 8/14, Tuesday, 8/25, Thursday, 8/27, & Friday,8/28, as well as on Tuesday evening during Back-to-School Night from 5:00 to 6:45pm.

Please be aware that if you cannot attend the Book Fair, or want to avoid the crowds, that shopping is available thru the ONLINE BOOKFAIR from August 24 th thru September 4th.

There is also an eWallet feature that will allow you to let your student buy things at the Book Fair without them having to carry cash to school. See more info at this link:

As always, in order to have a successful book fair ✨VOLUNTEERS✨ are greatly needed. Please contribute an hour or two or more of your time.

It’s almost here! 💙💛🐾

Hello Cabrillo PTA Families,

🗓️ Our first PTA association meeting of the new school year is Tuesday, August 18.

It’s a new year and most of last year’s members have not renewed yet so I’m sending this one message to everyone with an expired membership. If your student is no longer at Cabrillo feel free to disregard this message (or email me that you want to be deleted so this doesn’t happen again next year).

🚨 Our first meeting is an important one: we will nominate and vote for a new Secretary. The PTA Secretary is a very important role, in fact it’s one of only three positions that is required for a functioning PTA. If you have any desire to be part of our PTA’s executive and don’t mind taking notes, this is a way to make a huge contribution.

We will also be going over the entire calendar of events for the year. If you want to know about movie nights, art nights, or anything else we are going to do, this is when we will go over the details. Do you have an idea for an event that we’ve never done before? Come out and let us know and maybe we can get it on the calendar!

‼️ PTA is nothing without you, so please remember to renew your membership!

Dear Cabrillo Families, 
We hope you’re enjoying a fun, restful, and safe summer! We’re just two weeks away from the first day of school, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome your children back to Cabrillo for another amazing year of learning and growth.

✨On August 7 starting at 4:00pm, families can logon to Aeries to view class/teacher assignments. ✨

We look forward to seeing everyone’s smiling faces soon. Let’s make it a fantastic school year together!

‼️ Please ensure that the Parent Data Confirmation is completed on the Aeries portal.

⏰ Please look for the school supply lists on ParentSquare and swipe for 2026-2027 bell schedules.

➡️ Aeries Parent Portal and 2026-27 District MAZE Process:

By now parents/guardians should have received an email from our district office to complete the district’s MAZE process, also known as “Parent Data Confirmation.”

If you need any support, please check out this FUSD webpage: https://fremontunified.org/portals

You must complete the process for each child enrolled in the district.

We recommend using a computer/chromebook to complete this process, as it’s much easier than trying to do it on the phone.

Congratulations to all our 5th graders and families! Zoom Kindergarten was not what anyone had expected but our students are shining bright thanks to our amazing Cabrillo teachers, staff, and parents!

We’re so proud of all your hard work and excited for your next adventure in middle school!

Remember, once a wildcat, always a wildcats. 🐾
