It is with great honor that Kids Against Hunger Fremont accepts the Commendation Award from the Alameda County Board of Supervisors for “Power in Unity: Strengthening Communities Together.”

This recognition belongs to every single tireless volunteer who helped empower over 20,000 Fremont students to pack more than 1.4 million meals supporting families in need, both locally and around the world.

Thank you to President David Haubert, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors, and Councilmember Kathy Stahl Kimberlin for the recognition and continued support of our mission.

Warm Springs Elementary School students worked really hard fundraising to help fund the meal supplies of their schoolwide meal packing event. This past Friday, Principal Iwata made good on his promise getting pied after the school reached its fundraising goal! 🥧🎉 Two top student donors and one randomly selected donor did the honors.
