It’s Durham Elementary’s turn for the Kids Against Hunger Service Learning Project!

Today’s school assembly introduced students to different ways they can make a difference in their community and beyond. Students also learned about the nutritional value of the meals they’ll soon be packing.

Next up: working together to pack 20,000 meals to support families and children in need! 💪❤️🌎

This past Sunday, hundreds of amazing volunteers joined hands at Bridges Community Church for Impact Day, packing 34,000 meals to support families in our Fremont community and earthquake victims in Venezuela. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to Bridges Community Church for hosting the event, Vice Mayor Liu, Councilmember Kimberlin, Councilmember Campbell, Mayor Emeritus Mei, and every single volunteer who gave their time, energy, and heart to make this such a meaningful and impactful day.

One moment during the event especially touched us. A volunteer shared her gratitude and said she wanted her family in Venezuela to know that more help is on its way from Fremont. 💙 What a powerful reminder that even a few hours of our time can make a difference across the world.

Kids Against Hunger Fremont is powered entirely by unpaid volunteers, and we need more caring community members to help us continue bringing meal-packing events to local schools.

We're excited to share our updated video, the same one we present during our Kids Against Hunger Fremont school service-learning assemblies. It is with great honor that Kids Against Hunger Fremont accepts the Commendation Award from the Alameda County Board of Supervisors for “Power in Unity: Strengthening Communities Together.”

This recognition belongs to every single tireless volunteer who helped empower over 20,000 Fremont students to pack more than 1.4 million meals supporting families in need, both locally and around the world.

Thank you to President David Haubert, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors, and Councilmember Kathy Stahl Kimberlin for the recognition and continued support of our mission.
