Ohio Safety Team

Ohio Safety Team The Ohio Safety Team established in 1997 in Fremont, OH The team consist of unique individuals that come from many backgrounds including: Police, Fire, & EMS.

They work closely with local Law Enforcement agencies and the general public to create a safe and peaceful environment when working details. Some functions the team is available for include; Traffic Control and Parking Assistance, for events such as those held at the Hayes Center. When working details all members are outfitted in uniforms & fully marked vehicles.

Today was a very hard day for the members of the Ohio Safety Team. Today we were part of the Celebration of Life for Lt Commander Lewis Branson. As the Unit Commander this is the hardest thing I have had to do after 29 1/2 years of him being my right hand man, now a void has been created as I was always used to him being there. Although I have other officers I know will step up to close the void. I am extremely proud of the team who was there to share the celebration with. The Lindsey Fire Department pulled out all the stops for the perfect send off. Our prayers are with the Branson family, friends and his brothers of the Lindsey Fire Department as they moved forward. Rest easy Lewis, we will take it from here.
