The Leadership Fremont Cohort is honored to partner with CALICO for our 2026 community project.

This year, our cohort is honored to partner with CALICO, Alameda County’s Children’s Advocacy Center — an organization that supports children who have experienced abuse by providing compassionate care and access to justice in one coordinated place.

For a child walking into CALICO, it may be one of the hardest days of their life. The environment around them matters. A calm, welcoming space can help reinforce dignity, reassurance, and the first steps toward healing.

Our cohort is raising $35,000 to enhance CALICO’s space and help create an environment that supports healing from the moment a child walks through the door.

We invite you to support our project.

🎓 Leadership Fremont Class of 2025 – Signing Off 🎓

Today, we celebrated the end of our Leadership Fremont journey with a meaningful graduation ceremony hosted by the Fremont Chamber of Commerce at Washington Hospital. It was the perfect way to reflect on a year of growth, challenge, collaboration, and impact.

As a cohort, we faced our share of struggles, especially around our project and fundraising, but we pushed through together and accomplished what we set out to do. It made today feel all the more rewarding. 💙

Our class project, Youth Overcoming, was created in partnership with the City of Fremont’s Youth and Family Services Department. We set out to raise awareness and funds to help local youth access mental health support, emergency services, and enriching recreation opportunities that complement their treatment plans.

Thanks to incredible support from our community, we exceeded our original fundraising goal of $25,000 and raised over $50,000 in monetary donations, with many additional in-kind contributions. These funds will go directly toward helping youth in Fremont thrive.

Last week, we hosted our Donor Appreciation Event and were overwhelmed by the turnout and generosity. We’re also honored to have had our project featured in the Tri-City Voice.

To our sponsors, supporters, partners, and the Fremont Chamber, thank you. Your belief in this cohort and our mission made this possible. And to our fearless facilitator Becky, we are endlessly grateful for your guidance, energy, and yes... the brownies.

This may be our goodbye as Leadership Fremont 2025, but the impact of this experience and the work we’ve done together will carry on far beyond today. 💙

Donations will be accepted through June 30 for anyone who would still like to support Youth Overcoming. Every contribution helps us continue making a difference.

That means early intervention is everything — not just through therapy, but also through positive experiences that support emotional growth.

Through our Youth Overcoming project, we’re working to make sure more young people in Fremont have access to those kinds of experiences. Whether it’s a camp, class, or creative outlet, these programs can help kids feel seen, supported, and connected.

💙 If you're able, please donate. Any amount truly helps.

For many, access to supportive resources and positive outlets can be life-changing.

This month, our Leadership Fremont 2025 cohort is raising funds through our project Youth Overcoming to help provide recreation opportunities for youth referred by mental health counselors in Fremont.

This year’s Leadership Fremont cohort is proud to partner with the City of Fremont’s Youth and Family Services Department on our project, Youth Overcoming, a community effort to support local youth.

So many young people in our community are facing challenges like anxiety, depression, and the lasting effects of the pandemic. While mental health support is essential, access to fun, enriching experiences outside of therapy is just as important.

Youth Overcoming helps make that possible by removing financial barriers so kids can participate in camps, classes, and activities that build confidence, spark joy, and create connection.

💙 Want to support?
Please consider donating! Any amount helps. Just scan the QR code or visit the City of Fremont donation page and be sure to select "Leadership Fremont: Youth Overcoming" when submitting your gift.

We believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive, and with your support, we can help make that happen.
