What an incredible Kids Fishing Day! 🎣💚

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out and spent the morning with us. Even though the temperatures were high, so were the smiles, laughs, and excitement!

We had some amazing catches:
🐟 Biggest catfish: 19 inches
🎣 Biggest bass: 17 inches
🐸 Most unique catch? One young angler reeled in not one… but TWO bullfrogs!

To top it all off, two lucky kids went home with Lifetime Fishing Passes! Congratulations!

Events like these are what it’s all about—getting kids outdoors, making memories, and creating anglers for life! Thank you to all of our volunteers, families, and young fishermen and women for making the day such a success. We can’t wait to see everyone back at the lodge for our next adventure!

Grab the kids and head out to the Izaak Walton Lodge for a morning of fishing, fun, and fresh air!

Nitrate pollution is an invisible contaminant with serious impacts on our environment and public health. In Nebraska, most elevated nitrate comes from commercial nitrogen fertilizers that we apply to our crops, lawns and golf courses!

That’s why Izaak Walton Fremont Chapter is participating in Nitrate Pollution Awareness Week! During the last week in July, the Izaak Walton League of America is inviting everyone to get involved in learning more about nitrate pollution, monitoring their water, and advocating for solutions. These are vital first steps toward securing a future free from harmful nitrate pollution.

Grab your fishing poles and bring the whole family out to the Izaak Walton Lodge on Saturday, July 25th! The fun begins at 10:00 AM with a morning full of fishing, fresh air, and great memories.
Whether your little angler is catching their very first fish or is already a fishing pro, everyone is welcome to join the fun!
