Hello everyone. It has been a long time since I have posted. Working 2 jobs and handling life gets in the way when we have the limited help of my immediate family. My husband’s income has been slashed over the past year and we are struggling to keep the rescue going. Fund raising is hard in these financial times! We have had to severely limit intake. We have lots of deserving cats who are looking for their furever homes. Siamese and non Siamese.

Today, I am asking today for help with a cat named Danny Boy who was a stray that we picked up in Gibsonburg, Ohio. He showed up at an apartment complex injured. He appears to have a broken/dislocated jaw and worse yet, he has a tear in his backside that is occupied by maggots. This boy is so sweet and knows he needs help as he crawled right into the carrier for us last night. He needs to see a vet and have some extensive and expensive help.

Donations can be made through Venmo: Kelly-McDougall-6 or
PayPal (search by email [email protected]) or CashApp $MZRLADY or by snail mail. Please help us save this boy. We need to act quickly.

We are still very much in need. Thank you to the generous people who have contributed and those who have shared. Please look into your hearts to help us help kitties this holiday season.l and beyond!

Hello! We just wanted to reach out to our amazing followers. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Wanted to kindly remind you all that it is Giving Tuesday and that we are a 501c3 rescue and can provide receipts for tax purposes should you meet the criteria. We are struggling right now to stay on top of several situations. We do say yes when a lot of places say no. Lately, we have found ourselves in a position to help many senior cats whose owners have passed away or moved to assisted living. These cats have had complicated health issues…. One had a huge cancerous mass removed, one needs an eye removed, one needs a dental with teeth extractions, one needs bloodwork.. etc. Many of these cats have never had vet care short of previously being fixed. We also pulled 7 cats from a challenging situation and found some of the cats to be handicapped due to inbreeding. Please support the work that we do! We are so dedicated to these cats! We have been working with Facebook to get a donation button on our page , but we are still waiting. We are taking donations through Venmo Kelly-Mcdougall-6 or CashApp $MZRLADY or please message for our address. Anything is appreciated. It all adds up and I am happy to provide vet estimates to prove the costs which are thousands of dollars. (and also tax receipts). A couple of our seniors in need are pictured . Yoshi (Siamese) and Sam (orange tabby)

UPDATE: ADOPTED!
Meet Reggie. He is a male blue point Siamese mix. He is believed to be about 3 years old. He has unique, rounded ears that frame his handsome face. Update: I had 15 requests for applications for Max. Only 1 was returned and I never heard more after following up. Please message if you returned an application and never heard back, because I never got it.

Meet Maximus. He is a handsome longhaired sealpoint Siamese/Ragdoll mix. He is believed to be about 3 years old. He was found as a stray in the Akron/Canton/Massillon area of Ohio. He is very sweet and friendly and was made for love and attention. He is very talkative, but does not have a pronounced Siamese wail. He gets along well with other cats, but has an alpha cat personality. Please keep that in mind when considering personality matches with other cats. He has been neutered, tested FIV/FELV negative, received FVRCP vaccination and been treated for fleas, worms and ear mites. If you are interested in Max, please PM me.

Hello, all! This week I am going to try to catch up on my posting and try to find some Meezers some homes. We need to make room for the cats at the hoarder house. So, we will be posting cats that are currently adoptable. Every adoption starts with our adoption application. Please PM and provide an email address to be sent one. Thank you for your continued support!

***URGENT RESCUE SITUATION***
***PLEASE HELP***

We are currently rescuing from a hoarding house in Castalia, Ohio. It was abysmal inside. The smell is overwhelming. The house is loaded with f***s and fleas. We rescued 4 sets of nursing mothers and kittens. There are still about 15 to 20 other cats. As I mentioned in my previous post, all the cats are outside now. However, they are in danger in their current environment. In the past, a neighbor was catching them in cages and drowning them. They have no safe place to go. Here are some pics of the house and some of the cats. Please help us raise funds to help us build an outdoor enclosure on our property for these cats. We are one of the few rescues who currently house unsocialized cats. We are accepting donations through our Cashapp $MZRLADY or our Venmo -McDougall-6. We are also working on a donation button through Facebook. We will also accept donations by mail. Please PM me for our address.

HELP URGENT SITUATION

Hello, everyone. We have lots of cats to post this weekend if you are looking to adopt a new best friend. Also, we need to spread the word and raise some funds. I am involved in a situation to remove some cats from a hoarding house. We have made progress and cleared the house, but there are many unsocialized cats outside. Some are Siamese mixed and some are other domestic shorthair. The homeowner is in permanent care due to health. The adult children are selling the house and have little concern about what happens to the cats. In the past, a neighboring business took it upon themselves to start trapping cats and drowning them while trapped in the cages. The sheriff told them they needed to stop and supposedly have. So, we have reached out for TNR assistance, but it being kitten season, resources are slim. The worst part is that once we get the fixed, we have no place to release them. We are up against a time crunch now. What we are looking to do is to build an outdoor enclosure onto our rescue so that these cats have somewhere safe to go. If you are able to help with this project or have a safe place for some unsocialized cats to go please reach out to us. The rescue’s Venmo is -McDougall-6 with the profile pic being the rescue’s logo. Our CashApp is $MZRLADY. We will also be happy to provide our address for donations in a PM. Please help us protect these precious cats. We are a 501c3 organization and can provide a receipt for taxes. Thank you so much.

It is important to remember when adopting a rescue cat to carefully consider that we don’t always know their history. We may know where they come from in that moment, but also sometimes get an incomplete story from the previous owner or caretaker. We fully vet our cats to the best of our ability and knowledge. We preventively treat for parasites, sterilize, vaccinate and address any surgical, dental or other medical conditions. When one of our cats is adopted, the application and adoption contract specifically state that. It also states that if a new medical issue is found later, that becomes the responsibility of the new owner. This does not mean that we don’t care. I assure you, we do! We are in rescue for the cats. We are crystal clear about the information that we have. Although, we are ultimately limited on what we can spend, we would rather take a cat with a medical condition back into the rescue than leave it untreated. Just some thoughts that I wanted to share whether useful now or at a later date. I feel like a rescue cat (or even a purebred cat) can be a bit like buying a used car. You don’t know the exact condition. You don’t know how the previous owner treated it. But if you take a chance on making it your own, it could end up being your favorite and bring you happiness for a long time!

Hi all! We had a very busy last month and placed 13 cats in their homes. That does not seem like a lot, but it sure is when you are a one man show. That being said, I have taken in quite a few new adorable Meezers and will be posting soon. If you are interested in adopting, please PM for information and an application.

****AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION****
Meet Chase! He is a beautiful male sealpoint. He has the cutest white toes on his one right foot. He came from the hoarding house situation near Dayton/Cincinnati, but he is a healthy socialized boy. He gets along with other cats. He would do best in a quieter home with adults. He is affectionate and timid. He is neutered and tested FeLV/FIV negative. He has had his first round of FVRCP vaccinations and has been preventatively treated for fleas, worms and earmites. If you would like to be a part of this guy’s happily ever after please send us a PM to get an adoption application sent to you.

****ADOPTED ****
Meet Wonton. He is a handsome, chunky cross eyed boy. He is a neutered sealpoint Siamese who is around 4 years old. He was found as a stray and was drooling. On his first vet visit, he was found to have an abscess and broken tooth. He got a full dental and antibiotics and he could not be happier. He is very affectionate with people. He loves to play chase with other cats and with any cat toy. He is looking for a home that can appreciate a silly, well toasted fella. Wonton is FeLV/FIV tested negative and has had his first round of FVRCP vaccinations. He has been preventively treated for worms, fleas and earmites. Send a PM for an application if you are interested in Wonton!
