Language is a constantly changing and evolving part of our world. In recent years the language surrounding su***de has changed.

When talking about su***de, avoid using the word “committed,” which perpetuates the stigma of su***de as a crime and indicates moral judgment. Instead, say “died by su***de,” “took his/her life,” or, “ended one’s life.”

This support group is open to anyone caring for someone experiencing suicidal ideation. It offers a safe and supportive space to connect with others going through similar experiences. Share stories and discuss coping strategies, safety plans, and how to support someone in crisis. 🫂
