how are you, I'm George Bobanie Browne a director of Jociana's Foundation base in Sierra Leone,our organization is looking for donors grants partnership to support our activities we have so many activities we are implementing in the western rural district of Sierra Leone which is the most deprive and poor district in the country.
Since the end of the Ebola in 2015 in Sierra Leone, Waterloo Rural community was among the worst communities affected by the virus; and most youths, women and young children lost their parents and loved ones. Consequently, most of these youths, women and children resorted into drinking, thuggery, cliques and became drug addicts as a way of caring for themselves and fighting for their daily survival. This situation has apparently led to the general increase in crime rates, school drop outs, early child pregnancy, prostitution and r**e in almost all the communities with in the environs of Waterloo Rural District.
However, in order to try to minimize these acute problems within this growing and densely populated community, our organization, Jocianna Foundation, has been working with community stakeholders to help identify, counsel and reintegrate these vulnerable children, women and youths into the society through providing skills training, educational support, legal support for r**ed victims, medical support, small business startups and financial education. Fortunately, our organization is the only local Non Governmental Organisation that is present in this community and we have well experienced and committed counsellors and professional staff, youths, women and children activities are part of our core program mission and objectives, we have been implementing similar programs of children, women and youths, we have strong legal support, good methodology, working with gender and children affairs ministry, working with the family support unit, working with other human rights organisations, good understanding about the various communities with in the environments, good understanding about the different tribes and their cultures in the communities and a well-defined scope.
