What if we've been measuring intelligence all wrong?

Many non speakers understand far more than they can physically express.......Why?

Because of apraxia- a motor planning disability that affects a person's ability to coordinate movements for speech and communication. The thoughts are there. The understanding is there. The body simply struggles to do what the mind intends.

Imagine being judged by what your body can do instead of what your mind knows. That's why we're excited to launch our new S2C (Spelling to Communicate) Program at Westonwood Ranch.

S2C helps non speakers and unreliable speakers access communication by spelling, giving them a way to share their thoughts, ideas, and personalities with the world.

Maybe the question isn't whether non speakers have something to say. Maybe it's whether we've been listening the right way. For program inquiries email [email protected].

What is animal husbandry?

It’s feeding hungry animals, grooming, administering basic first aid, and learning that our mini horse Silver does, indeed, run this Ranch😂

Our animal husbandry class at Westonwood Ranch helps build valuable job skills while gaining confidence, responsibility, and independence. We’re proud to extend those experiences through our partnership with Alaqua Animal Refuge where participants practice their skills in a new environment.

💙Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation raised a remarkable, record breaking $4 million dollars at the 21st Annual Destin Charity Wine Auction on April 24-25th for 16 children's charities across the Florida Panhandle.

We were honored to be included in the patron dinner at the home of Justin and Diana Phelps with Trevor and Lane Redding, featuring wines from Pott Estate Wine and a thoughtfully curated menu by Chef Bill Briand of littlebirdfairhope all in support of Westonwood Ranch.
