During the month of August 2026 the officers of the Freemansburg Police Department initiated, responded to, or were dispatched to, 419 calls for service. These calls for service resulted in;

16 incidents involving a fight, a disturbance, or domestic violence.
7 incidents involving a welfare check or mental health call.
8 Agency Assists.
188 Traffic Stops.
21 EMS calls.
16 animal complaints.
18 Borough ordinances were enforced.
2 incidents involving harassment.
4 incidents involving hazardous conditions
18 parking issues were addressed.
7 incidents involving suspicious activity.
4 motor vehicle accidents.
2 reckless driver complaints.

Officers assisted the Pennsylvania State Police, as needed, with a homicide investigation.
In a separate incident officers arrested an individual who was charged with attempted criminal homicide.

Update: suspect is in custody.

On Friday, August 28, 2026, at approximately 4 p.m. a shooting took place in the 400 block of Clearfield Street. The Freemansburg Police Department is requesting the publics assistance in identifying the pictured male.

Update: The motorcycle has been recovered and one of the suspects has been identified.

The Freemansburg Police Department is attempting to identify the pictured individuals in relation to the theft of a child's motorcycle. Anyone with any information can contact Corporal Smith at [email protected] or 610 866 2221. All callers will remain anonymous.

During the month of July 2026 the officers of the Freemansburg Police Department initiated, responded to, or were dispatched to, 349 calls for service. These calls for service resulted in;

21 incidents involving a fight, a disturbance, or domestic violence.
13 incidents involving a welfare check or mental health call.
8 Agency Assists.
90 Traffic Stops. One such traffic stop was for a driver who was clocked at 64 mph in a 25 mph zone.
31 EMS calls.
16 animal complaints.
25 Borough ordinances were enforced.
1 incident involving harassment.
4 incidents involving hazardous conditions
18 parking issues were addressed.
4 incidents involving suspicious activity.
2 motor vehicle accidents.
2 reckless driver complaints.

July also saw charges filed for defiant trespass following a domestic disturbance and the completion of an investigation for a stolen vehicle which resulted in felony charges.
