The haunted house and trunk a treat were a great success. The Trunk a Treat on Main Street is finished. The Haunted house will be closing at 7:15 so if you haven’t been come on in.

FCC and the Fire Department will be doing Halloween on Main Street Friday night from 5-8. We know there is a home game at the school so come early and join in the fun. The booster club is also doing some Halloween fun at the school before kickoff. Hope to see at great crowd on Main Street. It will be Spooktacular!!!!

The Freeman Community Club wishes peace and comfort to the family and friends of Peggy Linder on her passing.

Peggy L. Linder, 91, of Freeman, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Golden Years in Harrisonville, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, October 30, 2025, with a visitation beginning at 10:00am at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Burial will follow in the Freeman Cemetery in Freeman, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Croix Hospice. A complete obituary will be posted when it becomes available.

Breakfast will start again in January, if an organization with the school, church or historical society wants to raise money for a project, we are open January thru April, September and October for breakfast. It is hard work but a great way to raise money. Contact the Community Club if you are interested.

The Freeman Community Club is saddened to announce the passing of Rick Eason. Rick was a graduate of Midway High School, class of 1980. Among his activities, He played alto sax in the band and was a 4-year member of the football team that was a part of 2 State Championships, and 4-year undefeated WEMO conference games. He loved soccer, and after high school, he played for many years in indoor soccer leagues around Kansas City. Rick was a straight shooter, and you always knew where you stood with him and where he stood on any issue. He was an amazing lifelong friend. Please keep family and friends in your prayers!
