Freeman Lights Freeman Lights is a walk thru display about 1/4 mile long. Lights are everywhere from the ground to the sky. It is truly magical.

For Christmas, we're old school with almost 200 inflatables, tons of wire frame decorations and plenty of blow molds.

As they say, all good things must come to an end. We have had plenty of weather issues this year, even had opening night pushed back a day. But in between, there have been thousands and thousands of visitors come by and enjoy one of the most unique Christmas displays ever put together. It is truly a magical experience.
If you haven't visited yet, here is one more chance. Tonight, Dec 30, will be the last night of the 2025 season. The winds are finally dying down. But it's going to be a cold one. So bundle up, and we'll see y'all tonight.

We get all kinds of comments. Sometimes one of them requires immediate action. So.....
I'll see your Bluey under a blue tree, and raise you a Garfield by a red bush. 😁

We're getting ready for a very busy stretch from here to Christmas. Hours for Friday and Saturday will be 6 to 10. I'll see about adjusting next weeks hours. If you can come later in the evening, it will definitely help with the traffic and parking.
Please don't park in the neighbor's yards or grassy areas. It is a wet muddy mess when you get off the gravel road and parking lot.
Please try to park as neat and orderly as you can, with no huge gaps.
Bathrooms (3) are in the parking lot.
Santa will be here for picture taking Friday and Saturday from 6 to 8.
I want to thank this year's primary sponsor, Tara Malone for her support. If you're looking to buy or sell a home in Brunswick or Greensville County, give her a call 804-731-8107.
And just like last year, thanks to Jason Morgan and Food Lion in Lawrenceville for providing the marshmallows that everybody has been enjoying, especially the kids.
If you're looking for a place to eat dinner and are coming from the west 85/58, Pino's Pizza Italian Restaurant Lawrenceville VA is local favorite for pizza and subs. If you're coming from the east 95/58, El Ranchero-Emporia, VA has great Mexican food and lightning fast service.
On Sat night, A Taste of Texas food truck will be here. In addition to brisket and ribs, they will have chicken nuggets and hot dogs for kids.
Also on Saturday, for the first time ever, Freedom House Ministries will be here singing Christmas carols. I'm really looking forward to this.
If you have a bus or over height vehicle, please use the exit road as drawn in the picture and be here as early as possible, well before 6pm.
There is no entry fee. But there is a donation box by the front gate. Also, there is no charge for the hot chocolate and marshmallows.
Everyone be courteous and respectful, and we're going to have an amazing week. If you have any questions, let me know.

Wednesday was an amazing night. The folks from The Bailey Center for Special Needs - Going Beyond Boundaries were here, and I think they really enjoyed themselves. It was great to see so many smiling faces. Hopefully we can do it again next year. Thank you Jessica for the gift bag. The sweatshirts and stop sign are perfect.
Later on, while at the hot chocolate station, I was summoned to go meet someone. As I came around the corner, I saw a lady standing there, and somehow I knew exactly who she was. You see, Debbie Miller was coming here, on her deceased father's birthday, to start a new tradition and help with the healing. She smiled, introduced herself, and I gave her a big hug. I could tell the healing had begun. And I look forward to seeing she and her son next year.
Shortly after 9, I was summoned again to go meet someone. This time I had no idea who it was. But, she introduced herself, Danielle Rodriguez, and thanked me for bringing back the joy. And then she asked if she could give me a hug. Obviously, I obliged. Just like with Debbie, I could feel how much this night at Freeman Lights meant to her.
It's not the first time this has happened to me, but it was the first with 2 in one night. I've had people cry on my shoulder plenty of times. Depression is a terrible thing to deal with. Believe me, I've had my moments too when I felt all alone in the world. And I suspect it's just horrible when the depression involves a loved one. But there's something about this property and Freeman Lights that is able to turn around the lives of so many people. It is truly a special place. So thank you Debbie and Danielle for making this such a memorable night for me.
Finally, a little personal note. If you've seen me the past couple of weeks, I looked a little different. I had decided that I would let my beard grow out, and maybe next year I could be Santa Claus some times. But, after Wednesday night, and so many other encounters, I realize that I don't need to grow a long white beard to be Santa. All I have to do....is be myself. πŸ™πŸŽ…
