📢 Important Announcement: Location Change for This Saturday’s Cheer Competition!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve had to change the location of this Saturday’s cheer competition. Instead of Split Rock Resort, the event will now take place at Nanticoke High School Football Field.

Get your car sparkling clean while supporting the Freeland Whippets Football and Cheerleading program! 🌟

For just $10, you can get your car washed by our fantastic team of volunteers. All proceeds will go directly to the Freeland Whippets Football and Cheerleading Program to help offset the cost of their season.

You are required to sign up to work at least 1 home game. If you do not sign up by Saturday August 10th you will randomly be assigned to an open slot. Links to sign up are posted in band.

📣✨️ CALLING ALL VENDORS ✨️📣

We are excited to announce our upcoming cheer competition. Competition day is always a great day for the participants while being a very successful day for our wonderful vendors!!

Date: Saturday October 5, 2024
Set up time: 8:00 am with a prospective end time of 5:00 pm.

Location: Hazleton Area High School

The vendor fee is $100 plus a raffle basket donation. Payment will be due on the day of the event.

Each vendor will be allotted a 12' x 12' space. Unfortunately, we will not be accepting any food or beverage vendors.
To help maximize all vendors' profits, we will not accept any duplicate vendors.

It's that time we have all been waiting for...our regular season practice for football and cheer start next week!!!
All football players will have a heat acclimation week starting Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday night at 6pm. Please make sure to bring lots of water💧!
Cheer Parents please make sure to watch for messages from your head coaches as to when practice will be.
Board members will be available at the stand to collect any outstanding birth certificates, physicals, or registration fee.
Registration is still open for all levels of football and cheer!

HISTORY OF THE FREELAND WHIPPETS

We are the Freeland Whippets Midget Football Association, Inc. Our program was founded in 1971, by 2012 Hazleton Area Sports Hall of Fame Inductee, Henry Kopczynskie. We have been tackling the competition for over 47 years! Since this organization has been established, we have won over 30 Championships amongst all age groups. In addition, the Freeland Whippets are one of the only organizations in Northeastern Pennsylvania to have multiple sets of three consecutive championship seasons in its history. Therefore, making us one of the most successful youth football programs in the state of Pennsylvania. The Freeland Whippets have had one athlete reach the NFL, former Kansas City Chief RB - Nate Eachus.
