One of NJ's premier vocal ensembles, based in Monmouth County. 60+ singers, all dedicated volunteers.

Musically excellent, culturally diverse - The Arcadian Chorale combines innovative choral music under the artistic and musical direction of internationally recognized conductor Marina Alexander. Her unique approach lifts classical music from stodgy to vibrant. Works from classical and contemporary composers alike are presented in English and original languages, to rave reviews. e provides local classical programs in Monmouth County and at NYC area venues, including NJPAC, Lincoln Center, the Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall. The mission of the Arcadian Chorale is to promote excellence in choral singing at the community level, thereby making a vital contribution to the musical and cultural life of greater Monmouth County. With regard to "community", the Chorale's fundamental goal is to provide local residents with the opportunity to sing and perform choral music on a relatively advanced level.

If you enjoy visual art as well as the performing arts, you're in for a treat. Our spring 2026 concert will feature more than just music: for the first time, the Arcadian Chorale is sponsoring a student artwork contest! Middle and high school students (grades 6-12) from the Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District have been given the opportunity to submit original artwork that ties in with our concert theme, "We Sing the Sea!"

Submissions are being accepted until May 31 and will be judged based on interpretation (relevance to the theme), creativity and originality (no AI usage is allowed!), technique, and presentation.

Our three judges are:
• Bruce Rigby - Professor Emeritus, TCNJ
• Dee Moye Hoban - Contributing member of the Art Alliance of Monmouth County and Arcadian Chorale alto
• Rosellen Schussler - Arcadian Chorale Secretary and soprano

The winner will be announced during intermission at our concert on Saturday, June 6, and will receive a $200 cash prize! (Additional prizes of art supplies or gift cards may be awarded to runners-up based on the quality of submissions.) All appropriate artwork will be displayed via screen projection at the concert. The winner's and finalists' artwork will also be featured in our fall 2026 concert program journals.

We are once again holding a 50/50 raffle! The drawing will take place at our concert on June 6, but you don't need to be present to win.

Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20, and can be purchased at the concert or in advance.
