Last week, our team enjoyed the day at the Vision of Hope Recovery Center's Overdose Awareness Day event in Highland Park!

Getting out in the community to increase awareness of available services and support folks in finding what they need is what makes days like these so valuable. Many community connections and resources were shared.

Did you know that peer wellness respite services not only save lives, but they save costs as well?

Peer wellness respites are proven to decrease rates of emergency room visits and inpatient hospitalization stays. This allows for individuals to have more compassionate and dignified care outside of the hospital when experiencing crisis, and keeps the hospital focused on providing their expertise in medical care to those who need it.

Supportive housing effectively keeps folks who are at higher risk of losing housing remain housed and live independently.

According to .solutions, about 95% of people who move into supportive housing remain housed through their lifetime and avoid facing a change in status.

This goes to show that the combination of safe housing and accessible services together can bring ease to communities and decrease the overall rates of homelessness.

Last week, our Monmouth County Community Wellness Center team were out in the community supporting National Fentanyl Prevention Awareness Day in Asbury Park!

The afternoon was filled with connecting with folks and providing support, letting them know of the safe space that our CWCs are for anyone without judgment or stigma.

We're grateful to have been invited and to meet with our neighbors throughout the day!
