Come see your favorite local EMS providers at the East Freehold Showgrounds on Kozloski Road for the annual Charlotte Joy Touch-a-Truck Event organized by our friends at the Ashley Lauren Foundation!Come meet our members and see ambulances 1559 & 1561 until 4pm!

Also on site providing EMS coverage is a dedicated crew staffing BLS 1558 for the event while on duty personnel staffing 1557 and 1560 are providing routine 911 EMS coverage for our communities! Thank you to our friends at the NJSP and the event organizers for trusting us with your event safety!

***FLEET FRIDAY***

This is a very special fleet Friday for Freehold EMS. We proudly debut our new duty officer/ supervisor command unit.

This 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe was purchased in August from a dealer in Massachusetts and our members traveled about 5 hours (one way) to inspect, purchase, and bring this much needed upgrade back to Freehold.

This unit will replace our 2011 Tahoe which will now continue its service to our membership as an additional first responder vehicle. We also recently retired our 2010 Tahoe which was donated from our friends at East Freehold Fire Company and Freehold Township Fire District #2 when they purchased their new chiefs vehicle.

This new (to us) unit has been assigned to the operations leadership for primary use as an incident command unit and first responder vehicle and will be on the road in the coming days.

Thank you to our Board of Directors for supporting and funding this project. We are grateful for your continued investment in vehicle upgrades and dedicated volunteer leadership.

Thank you to our friends at Earhart Automotive for a thorough job in checking this truck from bumper to bumper, performing preventative maintainence, and always handling our fleet vehicles with the best care!

Yesterday, Chief Hoffman attended the 20th anniversary reception for Manalapan Leps program at Manalapan High School. This program introduces students to different avenues of public safety including law enforcement, EMS, firefighting, and dispatching at the local , state, and federal level. Over the last 4 years, Freehold EMS members have routinely presented to members of the program on EMS, what we do, our training, and what it takes to become an EMT and paramedic. We also assist with CPR certification courses and equipment demonstrations.

Over the past few years, we have even recruited new members from the program, many of whom remain with us today.

Congratulations to the Freehold Regional High School District, Manalapan High School, our very close friend and program supervisor Ms. Michelle Lilley on all of their 20 years of success! We look forward to our continued partnership with you and the program.

Big things are coming!

***BUSY NIGHT FOR FREEHOLD***

Last night, Freehold EMS provided standby coverage for the rescheduled Borough of Freehold fireworks at Freehold Raceway. Ambulances 1558, 1559, and 1561 were staffed along with our neighbors with Marlboro Emergency Medical Services 28-158 who were requested to assist with covering this popular event. Units operated for several hours without incident before being released. During this time ambulances 1557 & 1560 were on the road handling multiple routine 911 calls for service.

Later that evening, our agency was requested by Howell Police EMS as mutual aid into Howell Township for a motor vehicle accident. Ambulances 1557 & 1560 responded and assisted with the treatment/ transport of several patients to area hospitals.

While operating in Howell, we were dispatched into Freehold Township with East Freehold Fire Company and Freehold Township Ind. Fire Company #1
at Route 9 & Elton Adelphia Rd for a motor vehicle accident with several patients. Off duty volunteer personnel staffed ambulances 1558 & 1561 and handled the incident resulting in the transport of several patients to area hospitals.
