As a self‑advocate with autism, I know firsthand how hard it can be to feel included in school. My experiences of being excluded shaped my mission: to help students understand disability, embrace differences, and become better friends to one another.
I’ve now led more than 350 student assemblies across the state, inspiring thousands of young people to choose kindness, empathy, and inclusion. I also speak at conferences and host professional development workshops. April is Autism Acceptance month but shouldn’t be limited to a single month — it should be part of everyday life.
