Welcome to another exciting season of Freedom Irish Youth basketball!
To have a successful season, we need your help. To fulfill your requirements that you agreed to when you signed your player(s) up, we need you to sign up and show up for volunteer shifts.
Below is the sign-up link for the 6 events held in our facilities.

The requirements are:
路 1 shift for every Heart of the Valley/Tournament Team player
To eliminate any confusion, we have now provided an attachment/link with how many shifts you are responsible for. We will be updating that document as you sign up and work your shift. If you don鈥檛 show up, you will not get credit for that shift and may be asked to work additional shifts. This spreadsheet will also be on the sign up for easy reference. If anything changes or you see an error on the sheet, please email us.
Couple things to remember:
路 You can sign up for any event whether your player is playing or not.
路 We do not know the Heart of the Valley teams yet so there is a chance your player will not be playing in Freedom that weekend.
路 If you sign up, show up. No shows create a disruption for everyone involved that day, the people before and after you, the people who need to cover for you, and our service suffers to our visiting teams. The shifts will be locked 24 hours before the event so you will not be able to make changes. Please make sure if you sign up, someone is there on your behalf, even if it is not you.

11/8 & 11/15
Tournaments:
1/24/26 - 5th-8th Grade Boys
1/25/26 - 3rd-4th Grade Boys
2/7/26 - 5th-8th Grade Girls
2/8/26 - 3rd-4th Grade Girls
Here is a general breakdown of the open positions. This is not a complete list, just an overview of the positions available. More detailed information will be provided that day.
Tournament Manager
路 One position per grade level
路 Opening/closing the gym
路 Recording scores
路 Paying referees
路 Handing out awards
路 Making sure the tournament is going smoothly
路 This position is only for tournaments. This will not be needed for the HOV dates.
Concessions Manager
路 One position per grade level
路 Responsible for setup/cleanup of the concession stand along with the volunteers for that shift
路 Keeping an eye on supplies and working with person responsible for ordering concessions to order what is needed
路 Making sure the concessions stand is running smoothly by monitoring the workers and help as needed
路 This position is only for tournaments. This will not be needed for the HOV dates.
Admissions
路 Collect money at location listed
Concessions
路 Work the concession stand with other volunteers
路 Set up and/or cleanup required on certain shifts
路 Stock supplies as needed
路 Typically, one person handles the money while the others make and/or hand out food
Concessions/Clean Up/Gym Take Down
路 Work concessions at high school (see responsibilities above)
路 Clean up concession and kitchen area
路 Take down and cleanup Fieldhouse and Green Gym after games are all completed
Admissions Elementary / Clean Up
路 Collect Money at Door
路 After games are completed do general cleanup including:
o Pick up wrappers, bottles, etc. in the gym.
o Throw away used score sheets from the scoring table.
o Put leftover score sheets, pencils, etc. from the scorer鈥檚 table in the Back Court Club bin.
o Run bin and admissions money box to high school and leave by the admissions table in the Fieldhouse.
