"How lucky am I
to have something that makes it so hard to say goodbye."

I want to say that today, too, was bittersweet, but it wasn't. It was just hard.

For 3 years, Justice and I have poured our blood, sweat, and tears into the burg . What we got in return was far more than the coffee shop that we once imagined.

When we decided to hold a 3-day pop up sale to support the FCHS prom, we planned to go back to our coffee plan. We TRIED to go back to our coffee plan, but our village told us that isn't where we were needed. So, we continued in this path, and in 3 years, we:

- Raised funds to support the 2021 Junior and Senior Proms.
- Partnered with organizations, schools, and individuals to provide FREE dresses to more than 500 girls who needed them.
- Collected food, money, and well wishes to families going through challenges.
- And built relationships with HUNDREDS of families across the country.

In return, you supported us through some of our greatest challenges and our darkest days. For that, we will never be able to thank you enough.

This mission was never about dresses; it was about supporting our community. And while, we hope we have done that, truly, it was YOU… everyone who let us help you love the reflection in the mirror… it was YOU who truly supported us.

This experience has been nothing we ever expected and everything we needed at just the right time.

While we face the emotions of saying goodbye to this space, the mission continues, and we hope you will continue along with us. After all, it takes a village.

We had no idea this lovely, young lady had a voice as beautiful as her heart until we stumbled across a video featuring the HOCO dress she selected from our humble, little shop.

Christmas may be over, but this gift was such an inspiration as we kick off prom season and consider next steps for the future of the burg.

Overwhelming Gratitude:

That is all we are able to offer to our community for their willingness to step up and rally around one of our local teachers.

On 12/2, we were scheduled to deliver a dress to a middle school girl when her mother suffered a medical emergency that resulted in some unexpected and frightening events.

Within 24 hours of reaching out, stacks of letters and well-wishes had already been collected.

Within the week the local community had collected sentiments, gifts, funds, and snacks to support this family...enough to fill a car.

At the burg we were humbled to be a part of it.

Not only were we able to compile the items, we were able to provide this mother and daughter with CrownWorthy packages complete with their own tiaras - reminders that, even in our most trying times, we are still daughters of the highest king.

Some misunderstand the burg to be "just a dress shop"; dress sales and donations simply make it possible to achieve these much bigger missions.

Again, thank you to all who supported this family and to all who support the burg.
