National Convention Day 4:

Today was another day spent at the Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium!
We visited the Expo and Shopping Mall again this morning.
We attended Session 2 and Session 3 where we heard from U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, National Officer Retiring Addresses, and celebrated student accomplishments from across the nation. We also enjoyed the top 10 National FFA Talent competition finalists.
Between sessions we did some sight seeing around downtown Indy. We saw Gainbridge Arena where the Indiana Pacers play as well as visited the NCAA Hall of Champions where the boys enjoyed a game of basketball.

Tomorrow morning we head home bright and early!

National FFA Convention Day 3:

We spent the day today at the Convention Expo and Shopping Mall where students were able to visit more than 300 exhibitors representing agriculture, colleges, fundraising, the U.S. Armed Services and auto and truck manufacturers.
This afternoon we attending the Opening Session where we heard from the National FFA Officer Team, Indiana Governor Mike Braun, National FFA Advisor Dr. Travis Park, and the National FFA band and choir. The session ended with keynote speaker A’ric Jackson motivating attendees to overcome their fears and unlock their potential by breaking out of the box!

We ended the evening with a family dinner at Texas Roadhouse!

This week we also have K-State student Kaelyn Sumner traveling with us before she joins us in January to complete her Student Teaching Internship.

Tomorrow will be filled with another day at the Expo and Shopping Mall as well as attending more sessions!

Day 2 of National FFA Convention

Today was a day of tours! We started our day at Ozark Fisheries learning about their 4th generation ornamental goldfish and koi farm.
Our second stop of the day was the Risin’ Creek Creamery where we learned about dairy goat production and how they make their award winning goat cheese. We got to sample some delicious cheese as well!
We ended the day at Hunter’s Honey Farm learning about bee hives and honey production. Everyone got to bottle their own honey as well as taste different flavors of honey!

National FFA Convention Day 1!
We have made it to Indianapolis!

We left early this morning and made a couple stops at Buc-ees as well as Grant’s Farm in St. Louis to learn more about the Budweiser Clydesdales.
This week we will tour agriculture businesses in the area, attend leadership workshops, celebrate FFA members from across the nation, learn about opportunities in FFA and agriculture, and listen to keynote speakers and National FFA officer retiring addresses.
We are ready for the 98th National FFA Convention!

Today we had the opportunity to host the Southeast District Horse Judging CDE at the Fredonia Fairgrounds!
We had two students compete and the officer team helped the event run smoothly!
Congrats to all that competed!

This morning we participated in the annual Fredonia Homecoming Parade! Our theme was Fishing for Opportunities in FFA and we were honored to win 2nd place! Thank you to Eli Barnett for driving the float this year.

It’s Fundraiser Time!! Members received their packets today for Fruit, Meats, Cookie Dough, and Gifts and More! They each have a goal of 30 items!
If you need a member to come by and see you let us know!

On Monday, September 29th we traveled to the Southeast District FFA Greenhand Conference where first year members learned more about FFA and all the opportunities that our organization has to offer!
