In honor of National Philanthropy Day, we are proud to honor the entire Fredonia Campus Community for your support throughout the past 8 months! Together we are !
We are privileged to honor the SUNY Fredonia campus community for the tireless dedication of our administration, faculty and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Student Emergency Relief Fund was established to financially assist students who face unexpected expenses related to the pandemic and to alleviate hardship related to moving to a digital education format. With the support of our campus community and our many loyal alumni and donors, we were able to raise approximately $191,000 to support Fredonia's students.
In addition, our Student Health Center received many donations of food and everyday necessities to assist students during this time. The Faculty Student Association provided meals for students, resident assistants helped to supervise proper PPE use by students, and faculty jumped to a digital platform to communicate and continue to teach our students. Offices were well equipped with hand-sanitizers, masks, and appropriate rules to follow to prevent the spread of the virus.
While many experienced personal hardships during this turbulent time, our university came together to support our students and our mission.
