The Castleman Quartet Program, entering its 47th season, will be in residence at SUNY-Fredonia from June 5th though July 24th, 2016. This seven-week program brings together 36 of the world’s finest young musicians, ages 14 to 30. All chamber groups and participants are selected by the program’s Artistic Director & Founder, Charles Castleman, formerly of the Eastman School of Music and now on the f

aculty of the Frost School of Music at the Univ. Each 7-week participant learns and performs one solo work and one or two string quartets by working under the conditions of a professional environment, while improving individual and ensemble skills.
