This tour will be a special treat for our members - a two part tour in downtown Fredericksburg.
9 AM - Noon: Come tour a native plant garden that has just been newly designed and planted. This half acre garden in the city has just been planted this spring with mostly one gallon plants from the Tree Fredericksburg Native Plant Festival. There is a lot to see. Dry creek bed, bridges, arbors and a meadow. All are thriving and you can see how a yard can transform from all grass, to a native plant oasis. The designer, Anne Little, and the homeowner will be on hand to answer questions.
1 PM- 4 PM: This mature woodland native garden designed by Anne Little is in the heart of the city. Over 40 trees can be found on this 1/3 acre property. Along with a goldfish pond, bridges, stone lined paths and many native ferns, shrubs and perennials. Because the property is so small, admittance will be controlled to give everyone a chance to experience this unique garden. Please be patient and consider coming after 3pm when the crowd has thinned.
You can come to one or both of the tours, your choice.
