8:34 AM — We get a message about 2 kids at Thornburg who need coats.

I make a quick post asking if anyone can help deliver them.

10 minutes later — We have a driver!

By 10:40 AM — Those coats are already on their way to Thornburg! ❤️

Seriously, how amazing is this community?!

We already have a little delivery squad of 4 amazing ladies who are always willing to jump in and help, but with coat season and Christmas right around the corner, we’re going to need some extra hands!

Sometimes we get last-minute requests from schools for things kids need, and we just need someone who can pick them up and drop them off.

I’d love to grow our little delivery squad so we have more people we can reach out to when something comes up.

There’s absolutely no commitment! When we have a need, I’ll send a message, and if you’re available to help, great! If not, no worries at all.

🎉💕 55,000 BUDDY BAGS AND COUNTING! 💕🎉

And another exciting milestone… we just welcomed our 53rd school! 🧡

When we started our Weekend Buddy Bag Program in February 2025, we had no idea just how quickly it would grow. What started as a simple way to make sure local children had food over the weekend has grown into something pretty incredible.

Today, we’re providing more than 1,200 bags of food every week to children across 53 schools!

That’s more than 55,000 bags filled with food, but also 55,000 reminders that someone in their community cares.

And here’s the thing… none of this happens without YOU. ❤️

Our volunteers who show up week after week to pack and deliver, our school counselors who make sure the food gets into the right hands, our donors, local businesses, and community partners who continue to step up whenever we need them.

This isn’t about one person or one organization. This is what happens when an entire community comes together to take care of its kids.

Of course, we wish there weren’t so many children who needed our help. But until that changes, we’ll keep packing, delivering, and finding ways to reach even more.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who stepped up at the last minute today to help with deliveries! And to our amazing volunteers who were here packing bags and then jumped in to help deliver too — as you always do — THANK YOU! 🧡

It never fails to amaze me how this community comes together when we need a little extra help. Somehow, we always figure it out, everyone pitches in, and we get it done!

We couldn’t do any of this without all of you. Every bag packed, every delivery made, and every minute you give makes a difference for local kids.

This is what Spreading Smiles is all about. It’s all of us, working together. ❤️
