Just a couple of vehicles with some pretty important cargo. 🚌🚐💗

803 weekend meal bags are going out TODAY!

That means 803 local kids will head into the weekend with food they can count on.

And this doesn’t happen because of one organization. It happens because an entire community keeps showing up — donating, packing, driving and making sure these kids are taken care of.

Kiwanis is a volunteer organization dedicated to helping children and strengthening communities. Their members give their time, resources, and support to programs that make a difference in the lives of kids.

💐 50 bouquets. 250 kids. An entire weekend of food. ❤️

We sold out of Bouquets for a Cause in record time, and we can’t thank you enough.

Because of everyone who purchased a bouquet, 250 local children will go home from school with enough food to get them through the entire weekend.

And the timing couldn’t be more important. Just today, a local social worker told us they are seeing a huge increase in the number of children who need weekend meal bags this school year. The need is growing — quickly.

Thank you, Fredericksburg, for continuing to show up for these kids. When the need grows, this community steps up.

And a huge thank you to House of Jane for providing the beautiful flowers that made this possible. 💐

250 kids. 250 weekends with food. That’s what 50 bouquets did.

The first full week of school is in the books, and we’re already at 23 schools and 683 kids receiving weekend meal bags each week! ❤️

That’s 683 kids heading into the weekend with food they can count on — and we know that number will continue to grow as more schools get their programs started.

Does anyone have any of these totes they no longer need—or maybe have some for sale?

These heavy-duty, lidded totes make storing and organizing all of the items we keep on hand for local kids SO much easier. Any size will work!

If you have some collecting dust and would like to donate them to Spreading Smiles, or have some you’d be willing to sell, please send us a message. We’ll happily put them to good use! 💙

Triple P Vending donates a portion of the proceeds from their vending machines at the Corner Corner Technology Campus to Spreading Smiles — turning everyday snack and drink purchases into support for local kids. 😊
