FAB Foundation The Fredericksburg Area Builders Foundaiton continues to advance its mission of providing assistance

Fredericksburg Area Builders Association’s Charitable Organization

The FAB Foundation is chaired by a group of voluntary directors who work to help the Fredericksburg area community through several initiatives. With a greater emphasis on the growing need for workforce development in our region, FAB has partnered with local educators and has established two local NAHB Students Chapters in Stafford and Spotsylvania Counties. We will continue working toward the establishment of student chapters in all the municipalities that we serve. FAB foundation has grant opportunities available for those looking to learn a trade and to potentially partner with member mentors and job placement opportunities. FABs Initiative is to provide opportunities to bridge the gap between future workforce and our member partners in several ways such as financial supporting students, connecting them with real life experience and jobs. We are also partnering with the local chamber and others who are doing student expos, mock training for job skills, career days, and job fairs.

Teamwork, a Little Elbow Grease & a Whole Lot of Heart!

Our Fredericksburg Area Builders Association FAB Foundation Community Engagement Committee members spent this morning volunteering their time, sharing their talents beautifying the grounds at Cambridge Gardens Assisted Living!

It’s about more than pulling weeds and making things look beautiful. It’s about building relationships, strengthening our team, and giving back to the community we call home.

We’re proud to be part of a group that believes building a better community starts with showing up, lending a hand, and making a difference wherever we can.

A big THANK YOU to our volunteers for giving their time and talents to make a difference. Together, we’re building something beautiful. Both in our community and in the connections we make along the way.

YOUR NETWORKING BUDDIES ARE ABOUT TO HAVE A REALLY GOOD EVENING WITHOUT YOU. 😂

And honestly? We’d hate for that to happen.

FABA Hard Hats is where local business owners, industry pros, and future business connections come together to catch up, meet someone new, and maybe even spark an idea that turns into something BIG. 🤝✨

No awkward elevator pitches. No pressure. Just good people, great conversations, and a room full of opportunities you won't find sitting at your desk!

Here’s your chance to get out, mix it up, and put some new faces to names.

📅 October 15 | 5–7 PM
📍 Stockyards Restaurant & Bar | 407 William St, Fredericksburg
🙌 Sponsored by Davis Electric

So, are you coming? Because we have a feeling this is going to be one of those “I'm so glad I went!” kind of evenings. 😉

Tag your networking buddy, grab a colleague, and come hang out with FABA!

We’re Building the Future and We Got to Meet the People Making It Happen!

The FAB Foundation Board had an exciting opportunity to meet some of the incredible teachers at Spotsylvania Career and Technical Education (CTE), and we left feeling even more excited about the future of our workforce!

Please help us welcome and thank the educators who are teaching the next generation of skilled professionals:

Chef Keisha Waits - Culinary Arts
Mr. Nathan Barnes - Carpentry
Mr. Bob Moss - HVAC
Mr. Jeff Autry - Electrical

These are the teachers who are doing more than teaching a trade. They're helping students build skills, discover their potential, and prepare for meaningful careers in our community. And that is exactly what the FAB Foundation is passionate about supporting!

A special THANK YOU to Emily Hall for organizing this wonderful opportunity and bringing us together!

After our meeting, Mr. Autry gave us a tour of his electrical classroom. Hearing him talk about his students and seeing the pride he has in their work was truly inspiring. You can tell these educators care deeply about what they do and, more importantly, about the students they're preparing for the future.

This is why we do what we do. ❤️

When we invest in career and technical education, we're investing in our future workforce, our local businesses, and the strength of our community.

We're Building the Future! One student, one skill, and one incredible teacher at a time!

WHAT DOES “BUILDING THE FUTURE” MEAN?

It’s more than hammers, tools and blueprints.

It’s a teacher sharing their knowledge.

It’s a classroom filled with hands-on learning.

It’s a student discovering a skill they didn’t know they had.

It’s equipment that turns lessons into real-world experience.

It’s a Career & Technical Education program opening the door to what comes next.

Building the future isn’t just about what we build today.

It’s about who will build tomorrow.

That’s why the FAB Foundation believes in supporting the schools, teachers and programs preparing the next generation for careers in the skilled trades.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll show you what “building the future” looks like right here in our community.

Because the future doesn’t build itself.

We build it together. 🔨

WE'RE BUILDING THE FUTURE.

When you think about building, you probably think about homes, businesses and communities.

But there’s another kind of building happening every day - right inside classrooms across our community.

We’re building skills.
We’re building confidence.
We’re building opportunities.
We’re building careers.

Through the FAB Foundation, we’re investing in the schools, teachers and Career & Technical Education programs that help prepare the next generation for careers in the skilled trades.

Because the future of our industry depends on more than what we build today.

It depends on who will be here to build tomorrow.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll introduce you to the teachers who are inspiring the next generation. We’ll highlight the schools and programs creating hands-on opportunities. We’ll share how FAB Foundation's support is helping make those opportunities possible.

Then, on GivingTuesday, December 1 we’ll ask our community to join us in building even more.

Because the future doesn’t build itself.

We build it together.

GIVE. SHARE. BUILD THE FUTURE.

Building homes. Strengthening communities. Making a difference.

16 FABA members. 8 hours of hard work. One shared mission: giving back to the community we call home.

Our FAB Foundation Community Engagement Committee recently partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Caroline County, putting their skills and expertise to work to help a local family move one step closer to homeownership.

We're proud of our members for showing up, getting their hands dirty, and demonstrating what it truly means to put service into action.

🔨 FABA HARD HAT IS COMING! 🔨

It’s time to step away from the desk, connect with fellow FABA members, and bring someone new into the mix!
