We often say that service dogs change lives. What we don’t say enough is that their impact is truly immeasurable.

As we recognize PTSD Awareness Month, it’s important to remember that PTSD affects more than just the individual—it touches entire families. Through our work, we hope to bring healing not only to Veterans, but to the loved ones who walk alongside them every day.

When we help a Veteran heal, we help strengthen and heal the family as a whole.

Axel didn’t just save Jason. He saved a family. And that legacy continues to live on every single day. 🇺🇸❤️🐕‍🦺

"It got to the point where I could not hold a job ... I wasn't taking care of myself ... I talked with my therapist and said, 'What about a service dog?'"

PTSD can impact every part of a person's life, making even the simplest tasks many of us take for granted feel overwhelming—or impossible.

A trip to the grocery store. Leaving the house. Getting out of bed.

This PTSD Awareness Month, we're sharing the stories of veterans living with the invisible wounds of service and the service dogs helping them find their way forward.

Healing doesn't happen all at once. It happens by putting one foot—and sometimes one paw—in front of the other.

Invisible Battles. Unconditional LOV. 🐾❤️

When her Air Force career was cut short, Tammie felt she had lost everything. Then a service dog named Flint provided to her at no cost by Leashes of Valor changed everything. Her life began again. Recovery and healing comes in many forms - we strive to help through the LOV of four legged best friends. 🦮💛🐕‍🦺❤️
