We had our last SFLA meeting of the 2025-26 school year. It was amazing to meet one last time, say goodbye to our seniors, vote in new officers, and review all that we did! Just a few highlights from this semester - attended the March for Life, hosted a successful diaper drive, tabled about the abortion pill & referendum, participated in pro-life chalk day, and volunteered for Mary’s Shelter (a women’s shelter in Fredericksburg)! Thank you for all the support and we can’t wait for next year!

Yesterday, we tabled about the Virginia Ballot. In November, we will vote on whether to add abortion up to 9 months in our VA constitution. Vote NO! Human life is precious and everyone should have the right to life including unborn children. Most of the people we asked said that abortion should not be legal after viability - 22-24 weeks gestation. Well guess what? In Virginia, abortion is legal up to 26 weeks and 6 days! How can a child in the womb at 26 weeks gestation not have the right to life but a child born early at the same age have the right to life?

We tabled today about chemical abortion. Did you know that upon approval in 2000, women were required to have at least three in-person visits to a healthcare provider to receive mifepristone? Now, zero in-person visits are required and people can order the pills by mail. Is this really safe for women? It sure isn’t for the babies.
