Have you postponed an important health appointment? Today is a good day to place the call.

Ask your medical provider when breast cancer screening is appropriate for you based on your age, health, and family history.

The child who felt unseen grew into a woman who found her voice.

The Fifth Child is for anyone who has carried rejection, questioned their place within their family, or spent adulthood healing from responsibilities and pain they received too early.

We Will Never Forget — September 11, 2001

Twenty-five years later, we still remember.

We remember the lives that were lost.
We remember the families whose lives changed forever.
We remember the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members, and everyday people who showed extraordinary courage in the middle of unimaginable tragedy.

9/11 reminds us just how quickly life can change. It reminds us to love a little harder, hold our families a little closer, and never take the gift of another day for granted.

Today, we honor those who never made it home, those who ran toward danger to help others, and those who continue to carry the emotional and physical impact of that day.

May we never forget the lives.
May we never forget the sacrifice.
May we never forget how we came together.

September 11, 2001 — Forever in our hearts. Never forgotten.

When someone opens up about their emotional pain, they do not always need advice. They may simply need someone who will listen without interrupting, judging, or trying to fix everything.

Let them know: “I hear you. I care about you. You are not alone.”

If someone is struggling or in crisis, call or text 988 together.

⚠️ PARENT ALERT: Understanding the Viral “Cat in the Hat” Trend

Randle Counseling wants parents and caregivers to be aware of a disturbing social media trend currently affecting schools and communities across the country.

The so-called “Cat in the Hat” trend uses AI-generated or digitally altered images and videos that portray the familiar children’s character in frightening or threatening situations. Some posts have gone beyond fictional content by naming specific schools, communities, or students and suggesting that the character is “coming for” them.

Although some young people may view these posts as jokes or harmless pranks, school officials and law enforcement must take every threat seriously. Creating or sharing threatening content can cause fear, interrupt school operations, increase security concerns, and potentially result in school discipline or criminal charges.

What parents and caregivers can do:

🔹 Talk with your child about what they are viewing, creating, and sharing online.
🔹 Remind them that a social media “joke” can have real-life consequences.
🔹 Encourage them not to like, comment on, forward, or repost threatening content.
🔹 If they see a concerning post, have them save the information and immediately tell a trusted adult.
🔹 Report posts naming a student, school, or community to the school and local law enforcement.
🔹 Reassure children who feel frightened and give them space to talk about what they have seen.

Please do not repost threatening images to “warn others,” because this can spread fear and make an investigation more difficult. Report the content directly through the social media platform and to the appropriate authorities.

This is also an important reminder that online behavior is real behavior. Teaching children digital responsibility, empathy, and good decision-making is now an essential part of keeping our communities safe.

See something. Say something. Do not share it.
