Fredericksburg Cooperative Preschool (FPI) A cooperative preschool serving 3 and 4 year old children. Our school is parent-run with an operating Board of Directors and a voting membership.

Fredericksburg Cooperative Preschool is a parent cooperative, non-profit, state-licensed preschool program with no religious affiliation. The educational program is under the guidance of our paid teachers. Our aim is to provide a happy early school experience in a healthy, purposeful setting where children may grow naturally. The unique and exciting value of a cooperative school lies in the learning experience it provides for the child and the participating family members.

Who says learning has to happen inside four walls?! 🥰

Sometimes the best learning happens when our little ones get outside, explore their surroundings, and let their natural curiosity take over!

Whether they're running around the playground, discovering something new, or simply enjoying fresh air with their friends, every adventure offers a chance to learn and grow.

🌿 Building confidence and independence
🌞 Developing coordination and motor skills
💙 Encouraging curiosity and creativity
🤝 Strengthening friendships through play

One of the beautiful things about preschool is watching children learn how to interact with one another.

Sharing, taking turns, communicating, and even working through those little disagreements are all part of growing up!

These moments may seem small, but they help our little learners build the social skills and confidence they'll carry for years to come. 🥰

🎉 You’re in luck! Our 4s class has a few openings, and a month to go before the school year starts! 🎉

FPI is truly a one-of-a-kind preschool experience in our area, for you and your child. Not only will your child gain the skills and confidence they need for kindergarten through our play-based approach—building friendships and learning how to work and play with friends, but YOU will find community at our little co-op. This means parents have the chance to be in the classroom, which can make the transition easier for everyone 😉
