The flower committee members for this remarkable HGW Tour home created a great variety of stunning arrangements that reflected the unique characteristics of each room. The camaraderie was evident, as seen in these behind-the-scenes views from arranging day. Look for lilies, lemons, roses, flowering branches, peonies, alliums, tulips, and even turnips. Notice how beautifully the dining room arrangements complement Zuber's scenic wallpaper. The scenes from 'The War of American Independence' are a tribute to George Washington, whose boyhood home is across the Rappahannock River. Stay tuned for photos of all the Tour properties' gardens and river views.

Wow, there were big pops of color throughout this Tour home! Picking up on the home’s interior hues, this fab flower committee created a variety of arrangements that were big on color…and texture. They used coral Peonies, yellow Tulips, orange Azaleas, purple Iris, Asparagus foliage, tree bark, driftwood, and even natural dog bones! Each home truly sparks our creativity. Can you tell this family loves dogs?!

From the welcoming front porch to the expansive riverfront gardens, this home has delightful charm throughout. Our flower committee for this home created florals that mirrored the interior design colors and styles. You can see their joy as they worked hard to complement this beautiful home’s features as well as its riverfront setting.

We love the variety of flowers, foliage, containers, and styles of floral arrangements that adorned this beautifully-decorated home, and we hope our visitors did, too! We’d like to share some behind-the-scenes views of our flower committee at this home, working hard the day before the Tour. They are so talented and creative!

Each home tells a story of its past and present, and our flower committee strove to interpret those stories through our arrangements. Getting to know each homeowner helps us to properly tell their stories as well. We hope you enjoyed these floral arrangements you saw inside and outside this beautiful antebellum townhome!
