One month later, and we’re still smiling ear to ear. 💙

Last week, we had the incredible honor of presenting The Fairy Godmother Project with a check for more than $10,000 raised through the 2026 Heppe 15K & 5K.

This donation helps The Fairy Godmother Project continue providing practical and emotional support to local families facing pediatric cancer. From helping with everyday expenses to creating moments of comfort during unimaginably difficult times, every dollar makes a real difference right here in our community.

To every runner who showed up, every sponsor who believed in this mission, every volunteer who gave their time, and every person who cheered from the sidelines, thank you. You made this possible.

The Heppe 15K & 5K has always been about more than crossing the finish line. It’s about coming together, lifting up our neighbors, and proving what our community can accomplish when we rally behind a cause that matters.

We’re beyond grateful for each and every one of you. Here’s to making an even bigger impact together next year. 💙

Yesterday we got to spend Global Running Day doing what we love most, showing up for our community. 💙

We joined Fleet Feet Fredericksburg at their water stop to cheer on runners, hand out water, and catch up with some familiar faces along the way.

The support behind the Heppe 15K/5K goes way beyond race day, and Fleet Feet has been a huge part of that. Spending an afternoon helping out was truly the least we could do.

Huge shoutout to our race director, Jimm, for coming out and jumping right in to help keep the water flowing.

Thanks to everyone who ran, walked, volunteered, and stopped by. We love this community. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💦

Thank you to everyone showing up this morning, rain jackets, umbrellas, running shoes and all. It may be a rainy day in Downtown Fredericksburg, but it’s a beautiful one for community, movement, and supporting the Fairy Godmother Project 💙

As you make your way through the course, don’t forget to thank our incredible volunteers, cheer on your fellow runners and walkers, and show some love to the Fairy Godmother Project team out here with us this morning.

Our 15K runners are officially off to the start line and we cannot wait to cheer everyone on all morning long! 5K friends — don’t forget your start time is 8:00 AM!

Rain or shine, today is all about community, movement, and supporting the amazing work of the Fairy Godmother Project. Please make sure to say hi and thank you to our volunteers out on the course and show some love to our beneficiary team throughout the morning — this event would not happen without them.

The Heppe 15K/5K is back and registration is still open — we would love to have you out there with us! Lace up, bring your people, and run along the river for an incredible cause.
All proceeds benefit the Fairy Godmother Project, a Fredericksburg based nonprofit dedicated to easing the burden of day to day life for families facing pediatric cancer. From meals and groceries to house cleanings and emotional support — they show up for families in the hardest moments and we are so proud to support them. 💛💙🧚🏻
