In her TEDx talk, Horse Power: Healing Through Grief and Beyond, she shares her deeply personal journey of healing, illustrating how she and her horse supported each other through painful experiences. Her compassion for others affected by grief—especially within the Western sports community—drives her commitment to helping them find hope and strength. Beyond her professional life, Melanie is a proud mother of six, a board member of the Cross Timbers Equestrian Trail Association, and a dedicated short-term rental host. She is also a competitive equestrian, celebrating her horse’s achievements as 6th Place in the American Quarter Horse Association Cutting competition and 2nd Place in the World Cutting Horse Association standings in 2024.
