ATSSA brings together roadway safety experts to identify
and solve safety issues. We work together to develop and
implement safety programs, products, services, education,
training, certification, and specification reviews. Our primary focus is to move towards zero deaths.

Utah DOT’s Connecting the West program, a $20 million, multi-state V2X deployment program spanning Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming, just wrapped Phase 1. On August 25, project leaders and technical consultants will share what they built, what they learned, and where the program goes next.

Summit, advancing the conversation around and . Industry leaders, educators, safety professionals, and law enforcement shared ideas, learned about best practices and developed solutions to distracted driving. Thank you to DRIVE SMART Virginia for hosting such an important event that fosters collaboration among organizations working to save lives on our roadways, including roadway workers!

The Foundation is honored to display the National Work Zone Memorial, which serves as a
powerful reminder of the human impact of crashes in work zones and the importance of distraction-free driving.

The highest rate of distraction-related fatal crashes is among drivers between 15 and 20 years
