Went to the antique store and saw a shadow out of the corner of my eye. When I went to follow it with my camera I was extremely astounded that I got a photo of a full-bodied apparition.

Investigation at the Howard County Historical Society Museum

This is reputed to be one of the most haunted sites in Ellicott City. We will be able to investigate the main level and basement of this historic structure. There are reports of voices, strange odors, people being touched, shadow figures, etc. The building was formerly the First Presbyterian Church, originally constructed in the gothic style with a 100 foot bell tower in 1837 and collapsed during renovations in 1894. It was rebuilt and rededicated on 23 December 1894. Host will be Karen Griffith who is the Museum Curator. Time will be from 6:00PM - 10:00PM. Cost for this event will be $10.00 which will be collected at the museum upon arrival. Cash is preferred. This will serve as a donation to the museum for ongoing renovations and maintenance. Please be prompt so we can proceed with our investigation in a timely manner. Plenty of parking at top of Court Road. Turn left (between the courthouse and museum) and follow road. Just after it curves to the left, make the next right, which will take you into the courthouse parking area.
Light refreshments will be served. Restroom facility on premise for your convenience

Goetz’s book – Hell is Being a Republican in Virginia – details the postwar relationship between John Singleton Mosby and Ulysses S. Grant. Buckland’s books – Mosby’s Keydet Rangers, Mosby Men, Mosby Men II and Mosby Men III – provide biographical information and little known anecdotes about several of the men who rode with Mosby’s Rangers.

Hey everyone its that time of year again, Christmas. Usually we have our annual Christmas party around the beginning of Dec. and this year unfortunately with the way I've been going medically I don't think it will be able to take place this year. I'm very sorry usually we have a dinner, secret santa exchange and something else (last year we had a class, year before last after dinner some of us went walking around old town to do the holiday window display riddles, and 4 years ago we just sat at Spirits playing games). I'm kinda bummed that this year we wont be able to do it.

NO CLASS JUST MEETING

Guys I apologize for the constant change with the class. There will be a class and hands on investigation this month just not sure what day exactly. The reason being is medically I'm not capable of handling a full day of walking around a battlefield or any other large area that will be suffice to hosting a class investigation. For the past 3 weeks I've been in pain and it hasn't been fun. To do a class investigation and be focusing on pain is NOT the best way to train investigators. Please understand that since july it has been very rough for me and I will explain at the meeting this evening.


6pm meeting at RUBY TUESDAYS IN CENTRAL PARK. I ask that during the class portion as well as the meeting please keep all comments and questions you may have until the end, we have a lot to discuss during the meeting as well as VOTING. I am stepping down as President and there will be a lot of change as to the following year.

CHANGE OF PLAN: IF YOU ARE NOT SURE HOW TO GET TO THIS LOCATION PLEASE MEET ME AT THE OLD BORDERS (IN CENTRAL PARK) PARKING LOT AT 9:10AM. Class will be held at Bloody Angle battlefield if you plan to meet us there please arrive 15 min. before 10:00 (have some walking to do but not a lot). Please bring a packed lunch. All members new and core may attend I've been having serious medical difficulties and may not be able to handle a whole lot that day. SO FOR THE CORE MEMBERS IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE I WOULD APPRECIATE THE HELP. For any and all new members who are taking the class I will be handing out our group's training manuals and then you will be split into groups to do some hands on equipment training. We will begin the class exactly at 10:00 on the battlefield. Class will continue until about 12 or 1pm. From there if anyone needs a restroom you may follow me to the beginning entrance of the battlefield park (there are no restrooms in the area where we will be so please make sure you go in advance). Also from there you may have a 1hr for lunch. After lunch we will break into groups and begin the hands on portion of the class until 5pm. After the investigation we will leave from the battlefield for our 6pm meeting at RUBY TUESDAYS IN CENTRAL PARK. I ask that during the class portion as well as the meeting please keep all comments and questions you may have until the end, we have a lot to discuss during the meeting as well as VOTING. So if you WANT TO BE AN INVESTIGATOR NEW MEMBERS YOU MUST ATTEND THE CLASS, INVESTIGATION, AND MANDATORY MEETING on 11/03/2012 (core members if you can't help me with the class please be there for the meeting). ***PLEASE DO NOT*** hand me your class fees until after the meeting, the meeting will determine whether or not you have to pay for the class or (all members) your dues.

YOU WILL STILL NEED A COPY OF YOUR 6 MONTH MEMBERSHIP FORMS AND MEDICAL FORMS FOR CLASS AND INVESTIGATION (both forms can be found under discussions, message boards).

Also if you have any equipment that you wish to bring to the class and investigation you may do so please make sure you have either a label or taped piece of paper with your name, address, and phone number on your personal device. Devices may include EMF meters, Camera's, Video recorders, EVP voice recorders, etc.

If you have not attended a 101 class in the past please attend. The fee for the class is 40.00 and it will be the last one for the 2012 season. We require you to attend at least one class in order to attend investigations. With this class you will be automatically added onto the calling list for upcoming events, a class booklet, a 101 class investigation in which you will have the chance to meet some more members of the team, equipment training, and a chance to possibly learn something new that you may not have known. Also you must have your 6 month membership form in hand upon arrival of the class and investigation.
