Foundation First/ Ready Region North Central Foundation First's vision is that all children from birth to five have a solid foundation that leads to success.

Foundation First's mission is to unify our community to promote equitable access to resources for all children birth to five. We serve Loudoun, Prince William, Fauquier, Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, Stafford, Caroline, King George, Culpeper Counties, and the cities of Manassas, Manassas Park, and Fredericksburg. Foundation First implements several early childhood strategies in our region in order

to enhance the quality of early childhood education and service programs for children from birth to age five. We are a coalition of over 40 public and private agencies, businesses, and individuals. We are funded through generous donations from local businesses, organizations and individuals, and the Ready Region grant from the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation.

What an incredible day of learning, collaboration, and shared purpose.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the North Central Early Childhood State of the Region. Together, we explored the current landscape of early childhood education across our communities, examined key data and trends, and engaged in meaningful conversations about the opportunities and challenges facing children, families, providers, and the workforce throughout our region.

A special thank you to our speakers, panelists, and community leaders who generously shared their expertise and perspectives. We are also grateful to Delegate Briana Sewell for helping us kick off the event and to every attendee who contributed to the discussion. Most importantly, thank you to the Foundation First team whose hard work behind the scenes made this event possible.

The conversations don’t end here. By working together across sectors, we can continue building a stronger early childhood system that supports children, families, and communities across North Central Virginia.

ONE MORE IN-PERSON EVENT LEFT! 📣 Families and early childhood providers who attend one of our in-person events for the full duration will receive a $100 stipend.

Details:
- Must attend one full in-person session
- Must submit a completed W-9 form prior to the event
- Limited to 40 participants per event
- Stipend is not available for virtual event
- Limit one stipend per individual, regardless of attending multiple sessions
- Stipends will be distributed following the event
