🌎 Happy World Environment Day!🌿

As stewards of the land and water, we all have a role to play in protecting the Rappahannock River. Whether you're volunteering, attending an outreach event, recycling oyster shells to support restoration efforts, reducing plastic waste, or simply sharing what you learn with others, every action makes a difference.

🚨 Calling all FXBG restaurants who serve fresh oysters!! 🚨

Thanks to our AMAZING volunteers, we are able to expand our oyster shell recycling program in FXBG! If you serve oysters, you can recycle your shells with FOR. These shells get used in our oyster reef restoration program. Restaurants are provided with 5 gallon buckets with lids to fill with shell that volunteers swap out 3x/week by volunteers.

This is a great way to support the river, gain some unique promotion through partnership, and reduce your waste!! Thank you to our current partners Ristorante Renato , The Port Oysteria & Brewery, and Fredericksburg Food Cooperative.

Does your favorite restaurant serve oysters? Tell them to reach out to FOR at [email protected]

Honoring and Remembering This ❤️🤍💙

Today, we remember and honor the brave individuals who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice helped protect the freedoms, communities, and natural places we cherish every day.

As we spend time with loved ones and enjoy the beauty of the Rappahannock River, we are reminded that these freedoms came at a great cost. Their courage and selflessness will never be forgotten.

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember those who gave everything for our nation. May their memory live on with gratitude, reflection, and respect.
