WHY SILENT DISCO? 🎧

Because dancing under the open sky doesn’t have to mean filling it with noise.

Silent disco lets us turn up the music while being a little gentler on the animals who call this place home

AND there’s something else we love about it: you get to move to your own rhythm.

Wander between different tracks. Find what moves you. Change your mind. Come back again.

One moon. Many rhythms.

You choose what moves you.

This opportunity is for adults (18+) who want to make a direct impact on the next generation helping FOR Education Staff during the field trip season for K-12 students!

The training will cover four of our most popular field trip rotations, but will spend the most time on macro-invertebrate sampling and water quality testing. We welcome all levels of understanding of topics as we always need support during our field trips!

The training will be hosted at George Washington Carver Agriculture Research Center
(9432 N James Madison Hwy, Rapidan, VA) on Sept 9th from 9:30am-12pm

August is National Water Quality Month! 💧

Clean water is something we all depend on—for our health, environment, everyday lives, and even outdoor adventures and fun learning experiences for the little ones. Keeping our waterways clean is essential for thriving habitats and a healthier Rappahannock River.

With that said, what are some actions you are taking to improve water quality this month and so forth?🤔 Curious to learn more visit: riverfriends.org/events/

And we thank our members, partners, volunteers, and staff for all the passion, hard work, and dedication you bring to protecting our water and our watershed. Your efforts do not go unnoticed! 💙🌱
