The Forever Moriah Foundation would like to extend our deepest thank you to the amazing 5th Grade class at Chancellor Elementary School for their incredibly generous donation of over 100 toys and stuffed animals to our Annual Toy Drive! 🎁🎅🏼🎄💚

Because of your kindness, children bravely fighting cancer and spending the holidays in the hospital will experience joy, comfort, and a reminder that they are not forgotten. Your generosity will also bless families staying at the Ronald McDonald Houses, bringing warmth and smiles during an incredibly difficult season.

This donation is especially meaningful because it was a true surprise a beautiful example of teachers and students coming together with hearts full of compassion to give selflessly. You are teaching the next generation that giving matters, that love is action, and that even small hands can make a big difference.

The holidays can be tough especially for families facing the emotional and financial toll of childhood cancer. In today’s economy, even the basics can feel out of reach, and for parents with a child in treatment, Christmas gifts often take a backseat to medical bills, travel costs, and hospital stays. 💛

Happy 17th Birthday in Heaven, My Sweet Moriah ❤️🫶🏽🕊️

Today, you would be turning 17 a beautiful young woman by now. Though 12 years have passed since you left my arms, not a single day has gone by without me feeling your presence in my heart. You may not be here for cake and candles, but your light still shines just as brightly as it did when I first held you in my arms.

There are days I still ache to hear your voice, to see you dance, to watch you grow but I know with every fiber of my being that you are dancing in Heaven, whole and free. Cancer may have taken your body, but it never touched your soul. You are forever my joy, my miracle, my angel.

I cling to the promise that this is not goodbye, just “see you soon.” One day, I will hold you again, and every tear I’ve cried will be turned to rejoicing.

Moriah, thank you for teaching me what true strength, grace, and love look like. You made me a better mother. I carry your name, your smile, and your mission with me every day. I’m so proud to be your mom.

Until we meet again, I’ll keep living with purpose, loving with depth, and walking by faith just like you did.

As we celebrate the joy and warmth of this Christmas season, we are reminded of the incredible strength, courage, and resilience of the children and families we serve. This year, your unwavering support has brought hope, healing, and countless smiles to those facing the challenges of childhood cancer.

Together, we have made strides in ensuring no child fights alone. From funding critical treatments to creating moments of joy, your kindness has truly made a difference.

The holidays are FAST approaching! We are just a few weeks from Thanksgiving and two months away from Christmas 🎅💚🍽️🎄❄️

While this is the most wonderful time of the year for most, there are some families that aren't quite looking forward to this magical season because this will mark the first holiday season since the passing of their beloved CHILD!

Sharday, founder of the Forever Moriah Foundation has put together a list of tips she used to survive the holidays after the passing of Moriah ❤️

Here is part #1

1. Know you will survive. Others have done it and you will, too. Keep in mind that your first Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day will not be easy.

2. Find at least one person you can talk to or meet with during the holiday season. Perhaps this person has gone through a few Thanksgivings and Christmases before and can give you some helpful ideas that have worked for her.

3. Things will be different this holiday season and perhaps for all the rest to come. Don’t think you have to do the “traditional” activities of years past when your child was alive. Your energy level is low. If no one in your household minds, skip putting up the tree. Forget spending hours making your holiday cookies.

4. Spend the holidays with those who will let you talk about your child. You will need to have the freedom to say your child’s name and recall memories, if you choose to do so. Your stories about your child are wonderful legacies. Tell them boldly again and again.

Our organization’s aim is to help children currently in active cancer treatment and their families. We are also looking to sponsor 2 bereaved families who experienced the loss of a sibling to cancer within the last 12 months.

We are currently only able to serve families in the following metropolitan areas:
* Virginia
* Maryland
* DC

Due to the large volume of requests that we receive, applications will be received and processed on a first come, first served basis. Applying does not guarantee your application will be approved.

For the 5th year TMLC Childcare Center donated proceeds from its “Superhero Shuffle”, in honor of our little buddy Anthony Meo, to the Forever Moriah Foundation.

🎗️💙🦸🏻‍♂️🙌🏽✨

This year’s event was held on Friday September 27th and was nothing short of amazing. TMLC kids, and staff, alongside Anthony’s family raised over $1000 to support our mission and help us continue to impact childhood cancer fighters and their families!

Our little friend Francesca raised the most donations, and will enjoy a Magical Day out with her family at Legoland New York! 🎢❤️✨😬

Another successful ‘Magical Day Out’ in the books! This time to Legoland Florida 🎗️🙌🏽❤️🎢

Life is all about making memories with the ones you love! For families that have been impacted by childhood cancer we truly understand just how important time is and how every moment counts! So happy our foundation was able to send over 30 kids battling cancer & their families to various attractions throughout the United States this summer!
