🚧 Davies Street Progress Update 🚧

Things are moving on Davies Street! The lots are being graded, and the water pipes have been delivered so Plain, LLC can work on the utilities.

It may not look like much yet, but this groundwork is what every future home depends on. Graded lots and working utilities mean we're one step closer to raising walls and welcoming local families home.

Thank you to everyone who's supporting this project. We can't wait to show you what comes next! Follow along for more updates. 🏡

Our Executive Director, Mimi Mitchell, was at the Habitat for Humanity International conference this week! 🏡

Mimi connected with Habitat leaders from across the country, swapped ideas, and bringing back new ways to serve families here in the Greater Fredericksburg area. It was a great chance to share the momentum of HFHI's Open the Door campaign, the push to open the door to safe, affordable homeownership for more local families. Every conversation helps us build stronger homes and a stronger community.

A big thank you to Consociate Media, who Mimi met up with at the conference, for partnering with Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity on our marketing. Your creativity and support help us get our mission in front of the people who make this work possible. 🙌

Want to put your company’s name on the solution to affordable housing in Fredericksburg? 🏡

Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity is building 6 new homes on Davies Street for local families, and we’re looking for business partners to help make it happen.

Habitat homeowners help build their own homes and purchase them with an affordable mortgage. When your company sponsors a build, you’re investing in stable housing, stronger families, and a stronger community, and your team gets to pick up a hammer alongside them.

Sponsorships range from $1,000 to $10,000. Benefits include volunteer build days for your employees, recognition on our website and social media, on-site signage, and speaking opportunities at Home Dedications and our annual event. Swipe through to see each level. ➡️

Ready to talk? Reach out to Mimi Mitchell at (540) 891-4401 ext. 2020 or [email protected].

Big change starts with ONE.

For the first time in years, Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity is building new homes in our community again. And we're asking every neighbor to help us build the next one.

Introducing Build One Home: one home, one family, and one community that decided to build it together.

Across our region, safe and affordable homes are getting harder to find. Housing is one of the biggest issues facing our service area and all of Virginia right now. It can feel too big for any one person to fix. But a home is something we can build together, right here, and watch go up.

Our goal is to raise $300,000 to fully fund our next Habitat home. Every gift, volunteer hour, and share helps get it built.

It starts with one. Will you help us build it?

THANK YOU, Fredericksburg! 💗🏡

What a night we had on Saturday! Heels and Hammers was a celebration of everything amazing about this community. To everyone who joined us, bid on silent auction items, decorated a hard hat, or sponsored the evening: thank you. Because of you, we were able to raise money to help more local families build and keep strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.
