Crafting for a cause! 🧵✨
Today, guild members partnered with University of Mary Washington (UMW) students during their annual "Into the Streets" community service event. Together, we shared basic sewing and quilting techniques while creating baby quilts for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg Campus.
We’re delighted to pass on our love of quilting to UMW students and help support sweet newborns in need of specialized care! 🪡👶

Even in the warmer months, quilts have a special way of adding comfort and charm. They make wonderful picnic or porch throws, brighten a room with seasonal color, and can be enjoyed as wall hangings, table runners, baby gifts, memory keepsakes, or beautiful handmade art. A big thank you to Virginia Star Quilt Guild for supporting FGP! They recently repaired some of our tutus and made new ones, so we're all set for our Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Tutu Campaign. They also brought along some wonderful reading pillows for FGP kids, which are always a favorite. We appreciate your generosity and continued support! 💛
