We are thankful for the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office for making an arrest in this case. Even though it was the dogs co-owner charged it doesn’t make their death any less tragic. There are still questions that need answered but we will now focus on the prosecution of this evil man.

The co-owner of the two dogs reported stolen at the entrance of Waid Park and found dead a week later was arrested by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.

We would like to wish you all a Happy New Year! 🎆 A big thank you to all of the support we have received this past year! Our resolution is to continue to work hard to protect animals in need!

And thank you to all who participated in our holiday raffle. The lucky winner was 12 year old Khloe Costello who is an avid animal lover herself. She currently has dogs, ducks, birds, a pet rat, and a chicken. 🐾

It is with heavy hearts that we share this tragic story with all of you. This beautiful puppy, named Ranger, was brutally murdered in his own backyard. This is a prime example of why this foundation was founded - to assist law enforcement in solving serious cases of animal cruelty and abuse. We have added $1,000 to the reward fund to help identify and convict the person(s) responsible. At this time, no suspect has been arrested. We are hopeful that, with the public's input and offered reward, that more information will become available.

This story absolutely broke our hearts. Amazingly, this sweet animal survived and is recovering. It is important the person responsible is identified and held accountable. We are contributing $1,000 to the reward fund for information that leads to an arrest in this case.

Authorities are investigating after a dog survived being shot three times and left to die in a wooded area in a northern Virginia neighborhood.
