Gordo had to whip out his best moves because he said it’s taking way too long for him to find his family. He’s showing you every angle of his adorableness and personality. Gordo is fun, loyal, energetic when he wants to be, crate trained, housebroken, and LOVES other dogs. He really only has more pros than cons but here is what his future person should know:
• Gordo hasn’t had a single person apply to adopt him that actually followed through with meeting him. He has only been in rescue since April 8th but compared to his housemates who were adopted within the week of arriving..that’s a long time 🥺
•Gordo is a lady’s man. He will tolerate men in his space but they’re going to have to win him over with sweet talk and treats. When it comes to women, it really only takes a few compliments from them before he’s smitten.
•Gordo LOVES other dogs. Nothing triggers his zoomies like a good old wrestling match with another companion. Most of the dogs he’s been around have been larger than him or his size. He’s a dog’s dog and would thrive having someone to play with. If not, no worries…just provide him with extra toys and he makes his own fun ☺️
•Gordo has been fostered with cats…but unless they like dogs and likes playing, we would say no cats. He would have to go to a home with brave felines who don’t care about a dog in their space.
•Gordo is the BEST boy in his crate and stays clean. He is on a routine and knows exactly when it’s down time and which kennel is his 🙃
•While he has some stranger danger when first meeting people, he does warm up quickly. His bark is scarier than he intends for it to be, but we promise he’s all bark. That being said, he will always let you know when someone is lurking around or not suppose to be near his home. He sounds bigger than he looks and aims to protect his person ❤️
Gordo is a 16-20 pound mixed breed. He has a long dachshund body so we suspect maybe chihuahua/dachshund/beagle? A DNA test will put this debate to rest 😌
Please give Gordo a chance to prove himself. His adoption fee has been reduced in an effort to find him his happy ending 🐾
