Our Tropical Ecology course at San Salvador brought many cherished memories, new knowledge of the island’s unique inhabitants (both terrestrial & marine!), stunning views, lots of sun (& bugs😳), closer friendships, and lasting connections from this experience. Our Tropical Ecology class is in the Bahamas for the next 10 days! Today was our 1st full day here on San Salvador Island. We spent the day snorkeling in Graham’s Harbour. Our species list is well underway with different sea grasses, coral, and a few fish spotted today! Bird sightings included American kestrel and Bahama woodstar.

Our 3rd student summer worker- “Hi everyone! My name is Taegan Murphy and I am a senior Environmental Science + Policy major with an Environmental Chemistry concentration. I am a part of Sustaining Hood and Free Radicals clubs on campus, and I am on the swim team as well.
