Zambia Hope International is a non profit organization that was founded to help contribute to the education of vulnerable children in the rural area of Zambia. It was founded out of the heart of Adamson and Anne Musonda targeting AIDS orphans in the early years of 2000 when the AIDS pandemic reared its ugly head and was ravaging the Zambian society and parents were dying in great numbers and leaving children on their own or with grandparents. At that time, it was common for old grandparents and very young children to be the heads of households and there were over one million street kids. It was in the midst of this suffering that Adamson and Anne Musonda joined in the effort, that prevailed at the time from different groups, of taking care of these kids and helping to alleviate the situation. This effort drew the attention of U-Foundation that came in and helped build a nursery school in Mutakwa village for Zambia Hope to take kids to. This school is free and has graduated four batches of kids, the first of which is now in 4th grade at the Basic school. U-Foundation also helped develop farm land for Zambia Hope in Mutakwa village in which they installed solar panels that generate a water pump to supply about 16 tapes distributed throughout the farm. This farm resource has the potential to help Zambia Hope be self sustaining and self sufficient. However, for the farm to realize its potential some capital needs to be invested. Zambia Hope now has the goal to expand the school to higher grades by building more class rooms. The structures are going to be made out of very cheap natural material to minimize costs. Zambia Hope is asking for support to partner with Hope Mountain in this venture of building more class rooms to help these vulnerable kids. Please visit the website : www.zambiahope.org and give your donations. We want to undertake this effort and finish building by the end of this year so that class rooms are ready for 2012 academic year. You could also address checks to Zambia Hope International. We would also like for some one with capabilities and enough resources to invest in Zambia Hope Farm for the sake of making profit to be used for the cause.
